We don't need a new captain. John Terry is doing a great job and by the time Terry retires there'll be a whole new group of players who no-one has heard of today competing to be our captain

I don't think anyone fits the bill in that list except Rio. Lamps is too old, i would personally like to see steven Gerrard on that list and thats my vote...some of those guys are getting old, Rooney is like a hooligan with his temper, j.cole just doesn't cut it, and t.walcott just doesn't have the leadership skills necessary...you guys seriously forgot about GERRARD...who is probably the best englishman out there at the moment.

Gerrard has shown a tremendous leadership quality and proof of high determination to win in a team great team like liverpool, There's no doubt that he is the best choice as the next england captain.

4 sure after Terry it's time for Lampard Gerrard and Ferdinand to retire that's why I think Rooney is abetter choice and by the way he is experienced enough by then to be a good captain not as good as Beckham did but if he tries he can be like him

Gerrand will be perfect, he may is relatively younger and more talented an has the experience of leading a side which lampard does not have.

Gerrard .. he is a great player and inspiration to his team mates... Franky Lampard would also be a good choice

Lampard too old, Gerrard facing poor forms. Only Rooney seems to be more appropriate. F Capello is also seems to like him better than other.

It's not the time to talk about a new captain until terry retires.therefor you need a man with heart, brain and a great personality . at this time there will be other players to choose from. if terry is injured lampard or gerrad. end of story blues forever!!!

yes- but his time wil also come to an end - though seasoned - he will lose out captaincy to a younger player in 2-3 years

I'm not sure about that, I'd give JT a good 5 or 6 years yet. He is a centre back, so he doesn't need the athleticism that a midfielder would need. Terry is very experienced and disciplined, and if he keeps that discipline he'll have many good years ahead of him...

Anyone from Chelsea will do . Its a great team and as you can see John Terry's doing such a great job so Lampard can do as well .
