Want to stock up on gas?
Read the Article: Want to stock up on gas?

MyGallons.com has come up with an interesting idea...

Buy extra gas today, at today's prices, and then cash it in later on, when gas prices are higher. That way, if gas is $4 today, and $5 next month, you can buy 100 gallons of gas today, put 15 gallons in your tank, and then have 85 gallons left, that you can use whenever you want. That way, no matter how high the prices are later on, you've only paid $4 per gallon.

Do you think this is a good idea?

+4 thumbs upGreat concept...one problem...how long until the company goes broke making up the difference...they are assuming the stock market and futures prices are going to continue to rise faster than gas prices...for gas...maybe in the short term...stock value will start going down as the economy approaches the inevitable collapse from our gross overspending on foreign affairs...and continued borrowing and printing/inflation of the dollar.
This company is doomed

Where are you going to store it?  I was thinking about running up spme cc bills and selling the gas to others when its like $5/gal.  But with my luck there will be some regulations asnd I will be in debt!

The only way I think this would really help is if you bought a very large amount at the beginning.  If you fill up once a week with 15-20 gallons, 100 gallons will last little more than a month or so.  There's not going to be that much of a savings in that month...especially if you factor in the $30 annual fee.  I see this company collecting a bunch of $30 fees from people that are scared and then folding...and taking the money with them.  I, for one, would not invest thousands of dollars into this company to hopefully save a few bucks.

Hey, it gets one mentioned (albeit as a punchline) on The Tonight Show (as, for instance, this couple were).

+1 thumbs upI'd be a little upset if I paid this company $4 per gallon since gas is down to $3.69 per gallon here now.

Wow, that's nuts.  I guess living in "paradise" has its problems too.
