I like to go to football, baseball and hockey games and have a good time.  I also have to drive at least 1-2 hours away to do it.   What is your alcohol limit at sporting events?

 I don't drink anymore, but when I did my limit depended on my wallet. For $7 a bottle, I was limited to only a few. I used to sneak in a few mini shot bottles and mix them in my beer to get a bigger buzz. I also did this at concerts and any other public events that sell beer.

 I attend many sporting events with business colleagues either as a host or a guest. It doesn't look good if I'm plastered by the end of the event. Beyond that, getting hammered loosens lips and that isn't necessarily a good thing especially if you're in some sort of negotiation with said business colleagues. So, two or three is usually the max for me.

Police in charge of the Bathurst 1,000 car race in Bathurst, New South Wales, issued the restrictions before the start of the four-day event this Thursday.

Spectators are limited to one 24-can case each of full-strength beer, although if revellers are willing to consume lower-strength alcohol (3.5% abv or less) they will be entitled to a more satisfactory 36 cans

 It really depends on the game.  If I'm going to a Cubs game, I take it to the max.  It's what we do at Wrigley.  If I'm going to a Bears or Irish game, it depends who they're playing, but I usually limit myself so I can remember the game.  After all, it ain't cheap to attend big time college football and NFL games.  I have connections at the UC so I get pretty hammered for Bulls and Hawks games.

 Since I am usually driving I only have one early in the game.  Otherwise if I am not the driver, I might have 2-3.  Too old to make a fool of myself anymore.  Besides it is more fun to drink a little and watch the other fools get hammered and laugh at them.

  At the prices today, it's two or less.  If I can tailgate, it's probably a 6-pack.  If I'm a guest in a corporate suite, well enough to make it worthwhile, but not enough to get sick, just a little obnoxious.

I'm with you...something I learned some time ago; when the boys used to go to clubs or parties...was to stay somewhat in control. So while all the other dudes were getting wasted and being obnoxious, I was in control and having much better luck with the members of the fairer sex...

 I had 6 at the Rockies Phillies game last night, that's about what I average..  Add in a few before and a few after and you have a great evening.. Except with the whole blowing a 2 run 9th inning lead of course

 I always have to travel to go to games.....if I have to drive then I will behave myself. I can't go to a game without having at least a few beers, but I can put down beer in insane quantities and not even feel it.  I do most of my drinking at our fan club bar.......with the crowd we get there, it's usually natural progression to be hammered by the 4th quarter. Pretty much every week I wind up in a scuffle with a bottle of Jaegermeister and countless beers..........no doubt Ed will have my back on that one.

Last winter I started drinking beer and Smirnoff ice together very yummmy! We call them schmirbeerz lol! I can prob only manage 2 of those with out falling over! Unless you're hoping ill fall over hahahah

 If I don't have a DD, I'll have a few at the start of the game.  If I have a DD, then it's all I can afford or I get to that really warm fuzzy feeling of "Ive got a really good buzz going!", which ever come first!

 well that would depend on who pulled the short straw on being the desinated driver, then oh probably 2 if i take a home loan out before going to the game.........outrageous prices....rather sneak in a flask and oh i would say 3/4 flask.

I tote my cooler in, but in the heat of the day , I am sucking enough water to keep a camel hydrated in the desert heat. Once the sun sets, it's on,.. and with a good enough buzz and my driver doing well, I may even buy a $5.00 16 oz or a $20.00 bucket or two, if I run out!

Haven't been anywhere other than Nascar, but it's looking like I may get to go to the Steelers v Miami in January, what, you cant bring a cooler in a FB game? What a Rip!

 Landshark Stadium-   I have never been allowed to bring in even 1 bottle of water   Great place to tailgate, the bad part of the whole venue is no shade   Bring something to keep your seat dry  and a lot of sunscreen

 i choose not to go to sporting events becos i probably would have to limit myself to a certain number of drinks, no fun! So i stay home and watch it televised so i drink as much as i want..thats if i am in the mood for a game and beer.

Well i am sure you know your limits?Sober that way you can enjoy the envent you are at plus you can make fun at your friends when they get a buzz and act silly.A camera comes in handy for futher laffs??

  There was a time when my vocation and partying were going hand in hand, so one or two drinks was necessity of occupational hazard, but that was about 25 years ago, now I am always designated driver with mineral water with me to give company.!

Whatever!  You should know me well enough by now that I'm not going to do that.  BTW, he started it.  I'm not sure why they like to pick on my game day gear after we just whipped their butt.  They did the same thing when I was in Chicago four years ago.
