+4 thumbs upWell, remember he competed with his daddy at the 24 hours of Daytona and won.  He was set to compete again in CA and had the fire.  He worked extensively with Boris Said learning the fine art of road racing.  I think his inability to race up front had more to do with the car than with his driving ability - I think he can drive anything, if the equipment is good.  Just MY opinion of course.

Let me remind you about this race last year, Debi.  This is where Gordon & Johnson were both penalized and had to start at the rear of the field.  Gordon ended up with a top 10 finish.  Johnson ended up finishing about 16-20, and that was due to the fuel mileage game at the end.  I don't think Johnson passed 10 cars on the track itself.  Some drivers just don't do that well on road courses, and Jr. is 1 of them unfortunately.
