What is most important to you? (Edited 06/23/08 02:35PM by )

Reflect on where you spend your time and money, and what you enjoy thinking about or discussing. This is an accurate indicator of what is your treasure. If you're unsure, ask your family and friends what they think is most important to you, and if they are honest, you might be surprised to know what others consider to be most important to you.

+24 thumbs upI know I'm suppose to say God above all else, but, everytime I look at, interact with or think about my family and friends, I see God in them and feel His love in my heart , so I don't see how I can seperate them.  And more importantly, I don't think God wants me too.

+8 thumbs upAs the saying goes, "There are no atheist in foxholes,"  so I believe in a higher being, but I'm not an overly religious person.  So for me to say God, as my most important thing would be a lie. God should be my most important thing, but I figure being honest about it is important as well.  I don't like to lie about such things and I hate a friggin' hypocrit that says it and not mean it.

Specifically, God's Precious Son Jesus Christ.  It is not about religion, it is all about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  The Bible says, in John 14:6= He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the (God) Father except through Him (Jesus).  Most of those who are reading this might not agree with me about a relationship with Jesus Christ and that's okay.

Another important fact...God is a Soverign God and He gives each one of us two choices in life:  Either to accept His Son Jesus into your heart as Lord and Savoir or....decide to go your own selfish way and never have His free gift of Eternal life.  There is a wonderful website called, www.christiananswers.net , a website that can answer, just about any question you might have about Jesus Christ or the Bible or God's other great gift of Salvation.

God Bless,

Here again I took a day to munch on this. Without God, I don't stand a chance with life thus my honest answer. People or things can always disappoint, fail, hurt or abandon me. There have been times that my own children have hurt me so deeply I thought the relationship was destroyed forever. Through my relationship with God, much prayer and hard fought battles those hurts have been healed.

My Momma died earlier this year and I'm still grieving. Her loss was the most painful experience of my life. I realized how special she was a long time ago but never imagined I'd miss her this much. Cherish your family and pass on the legacy of love.

At the same time, God has restored many relationships with friends that were so dear to me. The ones that were not restored were not healthy.

Each day I thank God for what He has given me, what He has protected me from and more importantly, what He has allowed to be taken out of my life.

Helen, that is a lovely answer and I believe that a loving God would be glorified by your answer!

For me, it is my efforts in developing a relationship with Jesus Christ.  It is that Relationship which brings me closer to God.  Therein, my life is enriched by the love, grace and blessing of the Creator and Sustainer of all things.  Further, by the above my wife, my son, my friends all take on a richer and fuller relationship with me because I am different person through my relationship in Christ.

+5 thumbs upVery wise and well stated Michael.  Success, no matter how great, is no substitute for a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ. By placing that relationship first all other things will fall into place.

+3 thumbs updont mean we halfta agree with what everyone says nor their beliefs, Lord knows there is now one certain individual that I shall never vote for because of his anti-American beliefs (ex.  refuses to place his hand over his heart during the pledge, will NOT sing OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM!!!!)My opinion though,  because I do not agree with his (second coming??) beliefs, does not make the world as a whole a bad place, we, still as children of GOD can , and have the ability to, change what is in the future for us all. Get what I'm sayin'? . .Sorry, PQ this if you feel the need, I just felt the "need" to say it..

+3 thumbs upFamily first and foremost.  I don't know what I would do without them.  I am blessed to have such a large family, and all of us live fairly close together.  Not a day goes by that I don't talk or see someone in my family.  Lucky me- I get to spend two nights a week with my wonderful mother.  Love Her!

I know everyone is answering what they think is most important to them, but I tried what the poll suggested.  What consumes me most is my family.  Whether it's chores or errands, making money, or simple conversation, it all comes back to family.  Think about it, even in conversation, whether it's b!tching and moaning about them, or telling funny stories about them, they come up more often then any other topic.
