+3 thumbs upbuilt it myself...it's a PC...but if you judge by the name on the case, then it's an Asus.  For the sake of argument, let's just call it theshrewdPC brought to you by yours truly.

+1 thumbs upI love my HP, haven't had any major problems with parts or service.  The company is great, and I couldn't ask for anything better.

Both my computer at home and at work r Dells.  I'm really quite enamored w/ Alienware, though.  Most r quite pricey, I'm curious as to it being worth it.  What say ye?

HP Pavilion Laptop.

I'd like to know if Alienware is worth it also, altho I believe they are mostly gaming computers.

HP laptop, and desktop, in fact a couple of laptops and desktops-- let's say that I love to stay connected, and HP has been very reliable.   Not to say that none of the other PC makes are as reliable, but HP's PCs are good to go in my book.

I used to build my own PCs, but now it's actually cheaper to just buy a ready-made PC instead of assembling one.

Like Indydave I used to build my own PC with parts bought around the web.  But it is cheaper to buy a Dell or some other brand.  Just add more RAM or upgrade the video card.

My desktops are Dell, my laptop is a Gateway with a swivel monitor that has a "pen" that I can use to write on it.  I use that a lot when I do stuff for work like inventory counts.  Pretty cool.

I think I told you this a time or three before - but I want one. I love my Vaio, and my Trever's Dell is even great...but if I need to get a new laptop any time soon I'm getting one of those convertibles.
