This is one of only 2 tracks where Gordon has never won, and he's never qualified on the pole either. Last year he started on pole for this race, but that's because qualifying was rained out and the field was set based on owners points. He's had a few top 10s at this track, but since the first race back in 1997 he's had some crappy luck. You can't say he didn't try to adjust the car. He just can never get anything to go right in Texas, it happens to the best. You can guarantee they tried everything they could think of, but nothing worked. Saying "something fishy there" sounds like a conspiracy theory to me, and that's bogus.
