+6 thumbs upBrady is going to get hit more this season than he ever has. Running up the score on division foes was stupid. Teams have memories. They remember scores, and how the Giants got pressure on Brady in the Super Bowl.

Just like ANY QB, you put pressure on them, they make mistakes. Manning has been working for this season since the bad game vs. SD. No more commercials this year!!!!!!

+3 thumbs upDon't like either QB but with Randy Moss then Brady will have the better season

+1 thumbs upI think Peyton because Brady never had consistent 30+ TDs Years and Peyton has and can Welker be productive on the 2slot then 3slot and can Moss be at full speed at his age its all up in the air for Brady. But I not saying that Manning has no problems, I'm just saying I think Brady is more due for a let down year not to mention the fact that they had the worst let down in Nfl history in the superbowl.

Lets see there isnt really anywhere to go but down after throwing for 50 tds. But he has a good WR corp and the best offense in the NFL right now. Oh geez losing in the Super Bowl does not necessarily mean you are gonna have a bad follow up season. Unless that is you happen to be in Philadelphia and your QB cant stay healthy after a Super Bowl loss where you yacked on the field.

Okay, the change in the NFL rules will reduce the amount of passes and increase the Running in the NFL.  So, this means that "Consistency" will dictate which QB will be the determinant on which QB is better no matter how you measure it.  Brady had an unbelievable year LAST year amongst a few very good years; however, Peyton has had over the top years every year for something like NINE years.

So, there is the consistency----Peyton should be the most consistent and therefore the best QB for this next year.  However, I wouldn't turn Brady away from any of my Fantasy Teams!!!!!

Maybe Peyton is more consistent, but to me the QB that will have a better year is the one that goes further in the playoffs. Sure Manning may have better numbers in the end. But, which is more important wins or TD passes. To me the QB that the best year was Eli, cuz he won the Super Bowl. IMO Brady has had better seasons more than Manning. That being said I still think Brady will have a better rating at the end of the season just because the Pats dont run the ball

+2 thumbs upYou need more objective criteria than "better season" to be awarding FanIQ points in this poll.

+1 thumbs upYou said that out of spite didn't you???? but no you realize this always gets people into fights?? I think me and Pat have done like four differant arguements over the TB vs. PM question. its an old question that doesn't truly have an answer. Also everyone forgets how easily Brady's record came last year against low par teams and usportsmanlike conduct (running up the score for humiliation purposes). Now that I think about it I don't even know who Brady's backup is. I've never seen him......... i gotta think on that.

+1 thumbs upi believe one reason Manning suffered last season was the loss of Harrison (his number 1 target) for most of the season. Brady had Moss (his number 1 target) all season. all together, the Patriots have a better WR group. it will depend on how Harrison comes back from injury and hopes that injury doesnt make him hesitate this upcoming season. Harrison did come back and didnt do to bad, but he also may be a bit more cautious because he doesnt want 2 lose most of his season again. so who knows. itll come down to which qb has more surrounding injuries and which qb stays healthier

+1 thumbs upAre you kidding me! There is no Marvin Harrison for at least half of the season.

Thats cool. I just wanted know where it came from. It would be an interesting (to me anyways) read. Anyone is carzy to think he will duplicate the same numbers as last year, but hitting a 100 rating is not impossible. Cuz the yeay after Mannings 120 he was around 104 the next year.

alright here it is the Nfl.com fantasy football preview 2008 mag. Jim Gigs is talking about marino breaking  the 48 TD record in 84. the next year his TDS were down 38 percent. When Manning broke the record he returned with 43 percent LESS touchdowns. statisticly your looking at around 30 tds from Brady and Peyton with a return year. I would take Manning this year. (plus his little brother has been rubbing a trophy in his face all year)
#22 | 58 days ago

also Brady had a meager 24.5 average touchdowns a year before his 50 year . Manning's average is at 28 before his 49. statistically who has been a better QB year after year? manning!
#23 | 58 days ago

marinos record 48...he returned for 30. peyton was 49 and he returned with 28. thats both times it was broken and a crappy year following

You will take Manning? Really? I would have never guessed that, Peytonrob!

We will see, I just think that he will have a better stats year. Right now on 7/3/04 I think the NE WR is more certain than the Indy WR corp. Nobody knows about Harrison and his knee right now.

yeah Harrison is our weak spot right now but we still have recievers like Dallas Clark, Reggie Wayne, Joseph Addai who last year they kinda worked in to take Marvin's spot.... Every reciever they have is above average. Plus you have to look at Harrisons Stats BEFORE the Manning era, they were horrendous! one of my arguements about BRADY/MANNING  is that peyton could have had horrible recievers and he still would be a powerhouse (my opinion) . He makes people give a little more and in football...sometimes thats all it takes. Plus we have an EASY schedule this year, thats gonna help also!

Brady didn't run up scores...This is the NFL, so I'm sure his O-Line will protect him again. His feet hardly move in the pocket.

I don't  think Manning had a bad year, I think he didn't get any protection, and his WR were hurt all year.  It doesn't matter how much Manning works to improve his game when his "O-Line" can't block anybody...He had "2" bad games against the Chargers with 8 INTs...I watched every minute, and Manning had zero time in the pocket especially in that playoff game.

Luckily, we play the Colts at Home this year because Manning wants his revenge...

Peyton Manning could be the Greatest QB of All-Time....He'll end up with 400+ Career TD's, and I'm sure he will end up with 60,000 yds passing for his career. He may just be the best in the game right now too, but like I said he needs those "Blockers" to get back to the SB.

He's having "Bursa Sac" surgery on his knee to be back in camp in 4-6 weeks. I wonder how it will shape his upcoming season:  http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080716/SPORTS03/807160431/1004/SPORTS

ok brady got smacked around in the bowl. lest we forget that the hoodie is still on the sidelines. don't  ya think he might have watched a film or two after the bowl?  don't ya think that ol' bill might change some blocking schemes tis year. don't ya think that brady's ankle might be just a little better? manning is great, one of the best ever, but i ,in my humble opinion, think it's tommy time again. it's gonna be a fun year.
