Which QB would you select as your starter for an NFL team?

I know that there are great QB's in the nation, but I am just going by the senior class for next year's NFL Draft.  If you had to choose only one of these QBs, which one would it be to build your NFL franchise around or one that will make an immediate impact either next year or the year after.

+11 thumbs upMatt Ryan runs a pro offense under Jeff Jags and Steve Logan. He is the prefect pro QB, he doesn't try to do too much, he hasn't had very good receivers and still produced. He throws the ball into a small area and completes passes. What ever pro team gets him should be happy.
Matt Ryan (Boston College)

+1 thumbs updo you have to make plays like Palmer and Leinart when your offense runs for over 300 yards?

Brohm is really very good and could be "The" guy!!!! BUT, I have really found that Ryan out of B.C. is just about as good in the 'tools' area but his 'head' for the game could be better.  He has every record that B.C. has ever had; he has done that without the very best WR's in the world; he is somewhat mobile, more a dropback and put it where it needs to be QB.  He interception rate is very, very low.

Brohm will go higher in the draft because he's had more hype; but, I think Ryan will be the sharper QB on the right team!!!!

+1 thumbs upI think if Ryan continues to play well this year, has a good showing in the bowl game and all star games, and performs well at the combine he may sneak into the first round. This reminds me of Michael Jenkins a few years ago.

I think, think, he's a first round now.  It is just a matter of where...  But, I could be wrong.

As much as I like and respect Brian Brohm, those are some VERY big words to say.  I mean, Brohm is good and to say he is gonna be the next Peyton Manning is saying alot.  I think we need to wait and see first and see how he does this year and what system he will be going to.  If he gets put in a great system where they pass quite a bit, then he should fare well.  But lets wait and see first how he does this year before proclaiming him the next Peyton Manning.

+3 thumbs upThe similarities between Brohm & Manning are interesting.  Both come from football families.  Both of their fathers were college quarterbacks.  They each have brothers that played QB in college and the pros and they each have brothers that played WR in college.  Brohm, like Manning, has been groomed to be a QB all his life.  Saying he will be as good as Manning is bold, but not as unlikely as you may think.

Brohm definitely has the background and skill to become a quality nfl passer. But putting the tag on him of the next manning is a bit extreme i think as manning is a freak of nature. Will be interesting to see him develop a bit more and move onto the next level. I would say odds of being the next manning quite low but being a solid nfl qb fairly decent and there is nothing wrong with that.

This kid, next Peyton Manning or not, plays football with a ton of poise and humility.  He could have an inflated ego and an entourage, but he chooses not to (not to mention his family would not have it).  That frees him up to play quality football and be the leader his team, his coach, and his family expect him to be.  And I feel that is what will make him successful in the NFL.  On a team that values it's passing game and a qb that remains cool in the pocket, Brohm will be the perfect fit.  He's my starting qb any day of the week.

+2 thumbs upManning's success isn't entirely from God's gifts. He is the most well prepared athletes in the history of the game. A film room junkie rarely sees a situation on the field that he hasn't seen 100 times on tape. That kind of makes his line checks seem a little more "super human."

agreed being a constant off the field workaholic definately helps , along with his understanding of the game. Its a perfect match of attitude and natural god given talent , and that combination makes the freak he is.

ok im still with trent edwards

but if i had to chose 1 of these QBs the best in my mind is Brohm, even though i think very highly of both brennen and ryan. they are all very smart system QBs who if put in the right situation can all be very good. but the thing is that they will probably go to crappy teams like the ravens, falcons, jets, bears, (no offense cuz my team ain't much better) and if god really hates them...the dolphins:[
