+1 thumbs upI like Ohio State chances, as the defense is soo sound. The coaching staff is sooo sound. Both have a lot of talent. USC has home advantage. Quarterback  will be an important advantage for Ohio State..
Good Luck

A tie (so far) says it will be between two SEC teams, hugh, go figure! Could that be because it IS the toughtest conference after all??? The other three couldn't pull off  9 wins playing the weakest of the SEC...

The S.E.C. was the toughest conference the last 2 years in my opinion. But I am getting sick of the comparisons. As the Tevas coach said it all depends on where you live. Where your opinion is going to be. Also as Purdue coach said he thought the S.E.C. the last 2 years was the best conference. As I read comments I think of when we were kids. A come back was ny father can beat up your father. Well some of the arguements sound like lil children arguing. A nother Example I just read. One coach said they have been the best conference, but he doesn;t beliene they wish to compare graduation stats. My dad can beat up your dad mentality

+2 thumbs upIt has to be USC or Ohio State, no?  I cannot imagine that any of Georgia (versus Georgia Southern, Central Michigan, and at South Carolina), Florida (versus Hawai'i, versus Miami), and Oklahoma (Chattanooga, Cincinnati, and at Washington) should lose across the first three weeks (although one expects that South Carolina, at home, will be competitive against Georgia), and neither do I expect that Ohio State should lose to Youngstown State or Ohio or USC to Virginia, such that four of the five teams, all save the loser of the OSU-USC tilt, will complete week three undefeated.

(Of course, I can't realize criticize the the logic of anyone who picks Florida, Georgia, or Oklahoma; I project USC to win the national championship [I don't know that I rank them as the nation's best or otherwise most talented team, but I give only USC and Oklahoma undefeated seasons, and I don't think that either would be passed over in favor of a one-loss Ohio State, West Virginia, Clemson, or Georgia, each of which I project to win its conference (and the third of which I projected to be the third undefeated FBS team, about which Alabama had something to say yesterday)] and to beat Ohio State yet somehow managed to click on them here.)

+1 thumbs upI don't understand you, Jahiegel. You claim to believe that USC will go undefeated and win the national championship, obviously with a win against Ohio State in week 3, yet you choose USC to be the first to lose? That doesn't make sense. Please elaborate!

Although the South Carolina vs. Georgia matchup is going to be a close, intense game, I don't think that South Carolina has what it takes to go 4 quarters against Georgia. I think Georgia will end up winning by a touchdown or less having the final score in the lower 20s.

As for the Florida vs. Miami game, which is tonight, I've somewhat had a reasonable amount of respect for Miami since the 2002 national championship game against my team Ohio State and have been following them for a while. However, the former Heisman winner Tim Tebow and the stacked Florida team is simply too big a mountain to climb this early in Miami's resurgency. I believe that Miami will perhaps strike first and gain some momentum in the beginning of the first half, but after that Tebow and gang will take control and emerge as victors with a couple touchdowns.

Anywho, onto my selection. I believe that, considering Chris Wells ready to play, Ohio State will defeat USC. OSU might have a slow time getting rolling, but I think they will have the momentum going into halftime with a small lead and return in the second half to increase the lead to pull away to victory. Take in mind that there should be a complete different impact if Beanie doesn't play, though. I hate to refer to the term "upset," considering Ohio State is first on the top 5 list of every professional/expert, but Ohio State will upset USC and take 2nd in the rankings. I'm okay with the 2nd ranking, though, because there's always a lot of pressure and a target on your head if you're 1st.

well looks like the Buckeyes unless Tressel decided to do a little Whodini action with his offense, which he is known to do
