Right now gas is $3.25/gallon here in Cortland County NY. Is that the highest?

Here in UT, it's $2.80 - $3.20, depending on brand and grade.

In my in-laws town in AK, it's $4.50 - $5.00.

No, just don't move to Hawaii. The avg price there is 3.629/gal. The lowest is South Carolina.

My info comes from:

I happened by the place where the cheapest gas in the area is.  It was selling for $3.09.

But I'd have to say the average price is still around $3.20 or so.

I'm in San Jose, CA.

I live in Hawai'i, and on the Big Island the prices range from $3.46 at Costco to $3.97 at the tourist spots.  Of course if you go to Honolulu it will be cheaper, but on Molokai and Lanai, I heard its $4 plus!!!!

This is pretty off topic...

But next to your picture it says you are in Pittsburgh.  Wouldn't that make you western or SOUTHwestern PA?  I'm a geographer and I think the centerline for the state runs just south of New Castle.  Which is...  what?  40 miles N of Pittsburgh?
I would think NW PA would be more like the Allegheny Nat'l Forest or Erie.

Or are you somewhere besides Pittsburgh writing this?

You know what is nuts?  CA gets screwed because of the horrid air pollution in LA.  The State has for quite some time required some additives be included in the gas.  That means gas stations cannot buy their gas from other States.  Only from the refineries that make the State approved CA gasoline.  It adds at least another 15 to 20 cents a gallon.
It also has the side effect of causing price gouging the second there is a report of a refinery stopping production for more than 2 minutes for ANY reason.

So the entire State has to pay for the mess that is the Los Angeles basin.

Pittsburgh is home, but I'm in Meadville, PA for college, which is a half hour south of Erie.

Louisville has to use "reformulated gas" due to the fact that our air pollution is nuts here.  So our gas is supposedly 15-20 cents more than the surrounding counties.  We still only pay $2.97 as of today.

+1 thumbs upFunny, no one ever thinks of Louisville having a pollution issue.

Outsiders would tend to think the big polluter would be that building spitting out all those bats!

The Louisville Slugger Museum is the least of our worries.  There's a place in west Louisville called Rubbertown that would knock your socks off.
