I'm sticking with the Gators just because they were my #1 pick in the league before the season started and they looked real good this weekend. A lot of teams play above their potential in week1 every year because of adrenalin.
In regard to Ron's statement above, I'm not going to lie if I don't say it makes me feel awesome to see that someone thinks that. But I still don't know if Bama played extremely well or if Clemson just didn't play anywhere near their potential. The sad thing is, we won't know the answer to that for about another 4-5 more weeks.

Those Alabama freshmen are going to be something special.I believe they will bring some youthful enthusiasm to the upperclassmen.I know being so young they will make some mistakes, but the talent they showed against Clemson was remarkable.Bama will surprise some folks this season.

Gators-Gators-Gators!!! Like Shawn (derms) said, Percy Harvin and Brandon Spikes were out. As was guard Jim Tartt, all three "expected to play"Saturday against Miami.
After watching the Orange/Blue game this spring and now the Hawaii game, Florida is looking exceptional on all sides of the ball. Speed kills...and damn do the Gators have some!!
Too bad TN couldn't show it last night (the "SEC speed"). I was honestly expecting them to be much better than what they showed against UCLA. Their D was good the 2nd quarter but last I checked, there were 4 quarters. Same goes for the offense, in the 4th, FINALLY getting somewhat of a rhythm. Tennessee cannot go up against a team such as the Gators (even at Neyland) and think they are going to win playing the way they did last night.
As far as Georgia, yeah they beat Georgia Southern by 24, and next up is Central Michigan, another "gimme". Just waiting on September when the SEC gauntlet starts to rear its ugly head for the dawgs.
"Bama, what a win against Clemson!! Let's see if they can keep it up. I do believe they will make a bowl game, maybe not a BCS bid, BUT if they continue the rest of the season the way they started, they are going to upset a few teams this year..
All in all..............SEC goes 10-2 opening week....the two loses by the Vols by 3, and the Mississippi State Dogs by 8...Not to shabby..
GO SEC!!

It''s hard to say after Week 1. Except for Alabama upsetting Clemson, no other team really played anybody. The way that Florida put Hawaii to sleep though was sick. As other said, Harvin and Spikes were out, not to mention that Tebow more or less took it easy with his running game. He only ran 9 times. First time in 14 games where he didn't have 1 rushing and 1 passing TD. I was actually lucky enough to score some tickets for this Saturday's game when the Gators face MY Hurricanes. This should be fun.

I'm not going to lie...I don't know a whole lot about Miami this season. What are they like?

Good enough to probably get blown out by
ONLY
3 TD's....If they keep it within that, I'll be happy.

Thanks, the only thing that sucks is that I have class Saturday morning until 12:15, I'll probably hop on the road no later than 2, it's an 8 pm game and as it stands I have to work Sunday morning at 10:15am. I'm probably not going to be home til like 2 am-ish. Sunday will suck, but it will be worth it.
