Roger the dodger Staubach is my pick for best he was the most exciting to watch and you were never out of the game until there was no more time left on the clock. Troy Aikman was great at be the most constintent  with is passes plus they won three superbowls . Don Mededith was good just did not seem to have the team to get over the top plus he got beat up bad at the start of is career and still made the da'boys a winner for the most part. Tony Romo still has time to make different  standing by being more constintent  during games with his play at all times and not put his teams without chance to win when he makes mistakes. Tony appears to play with the best when is game is on the money like Roger the dodger use to so he still has a chance.

I would go with Aikman over Staubach, but only based on the fact he won more Super Bowls. But Staubach was a great come from behind QB. Set the bar for all future Cowboy QB's. I was partial to Morton who finally got Dallas to the big game. Meredith was good and he took Dallas from an up and coming expansion team to a real threat to the Packer dynasty in the late 60's

Roger Thomas Staubach, also known as Roger the Dodger, The Jolly Roger, Captain Comeback, and Captain America, (born February 5, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio) is a businessman, Heisman Trophy winner and Hall of Fame quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys from 1969 until 1979. Staubach was key in developing the Cowboys to become America's Team and led the team to nine of the Cowboys record-setting twenty consecutive winning seasons. Staubach led the Cowboys to their first Super Bowl victory and as a result he was named MVP in Super Bowl VI. Staubach was described by legendary coach Tom Landry as "possibly the best combination of a passer, an athlete and a leader to ever play in the NFL."

The way people put Roger and Danny above Troy is a different time a different era. Sorry the question isn't who took the Cowboys to the most Superbowl's........Roger by far had more to overcome in his time just by the fact there were not nearly the rules to protect the QB as there were in Troy's day, just as there were not the rule's to protect Troy as there is to protect Romo in today's game. But my deciding factor is I'm an old man now and I just plain like the old player's.

GOOOOOD GRIEF .... you put Danny White as #3 - - O M Stars are you blind or what?  Danny White should be the VERY LOWEST person on the list ... all he could ever do as quarterback was PUNT the ball himself!  Dandy Don Meridith should be #3 ... either that or you were NOT watching the same games I did .... hell even Quincy Carter is/was better than Danny White!  UGGGGG

Huny how old are you?  Danny White sucked in his prime ... for some reason people have this delusion that 'Danny White' was something special ... he was not ....  Just because 'we' got stuck with his sorry @$$ for SIX YEARS doesn't mean he is good - I mean the guy had interceptions more often than Romo does - - at least from what I can remember ... I mean the only reason Danny had any success is because The Great Tom Laundry had Dorsett & Newhouse is the back field, as well as, Pearson and DuPree as Receivers!

Listen Danny White was good qb after Roger retired he led them to 3 straight NFC Championship games, after NO ONE(except myself) gave him shot to do good with boys. He had to go on the road for all 3 Championship games. I never seen Dandy Don play but he did not have the success that Danny did. The last Championship game against the Skins, we should have won but Danny got hurt in the second half and Hogebooty lol came in and stunk it up. I watch the same games as you, but i study the Cowboys i just don't watch. I eat sleep and drink the Dallas Cowboys.

just a bit older than you by 16 years..........i never said i believed danny white was better than troy but over all at this moment i would put danny white a bit ahead of romo, and i have romo on almost all my fantasy teams before anyone jumps me,but in the era that they played in yes i think danny white was a bit above romo at this point.of course that is just my belief.......i was a redskins fan in those days

Aikman was great but he piloted 3 teams to the Super Bowl over 4 years..
Staubach QB'ed 4 teams to Super Bowls '71 '75. '77, '78 that's greatness with different teammates over a decade

Well darlin then you have lost some sleep and more than a few meals! Danny White SUCKED then - - you never put a BACK UP as the STARTER - - the powers that be had a chance to do better than White and did not - - they gave him a chance! He STUNK it up - - Hogeboom never had the practice time or the field time to PROVE what he could do - - think about that!

I would rank the greatest Cowboy quarterbacks in this order:  1.  Roger Staubach-won first Cowboy SuperBowl, finally got us over the top after many, many years of not winning the 'big one'. 2.  Troy Aikman-won the most Cowboy SuperBowls, the Cowboys were most consistent under his reign, 3.  'Dandy' Don Meredith-he was the quarterback when I originally became a Dallas Cowboy fan.  Danderoo also brought the expansion Cowboys to a place of competitiveness.

Aikman has the rings, Danny White was a gamer, but I still have to go with Staubach.

It is hard to make choices of who is the greatest QB, I liked Danny White, he was my favorite only because he was so handsome and always on the spotlight, and watched his every move. LOL!  Roger Staubach is another great one. Tony Romo...ugh!  Let me think...iny minnie, miney, moo!  Wow!  Troy Aikman!  He was the greatest!

Who cares.  Might as well have a "What was the greatest plague of all time" poll.

Yeah, I was torn between Troy Aikman & Roger Staubach.  Those two definitely set the bar high!
