In the end it didn't work out for various reasons, but to this day we still talk weekly and visit each other from time to time. We both seem to know how the other is feeling, we get a sense that the other might have some issues and give each other a call to confirm, and generally are twins from different parents. My current girl had a little trouble getting over all this for the first part, but after meeting my "twin" on a few occasions, she gets it. Enter the poll to see my answer

They are always there for me when I need to talk and are always ready to listen. I love the fact that they listen, tell me their opinion on the matter, and understand where I am coming from. Similarly, some things can only be share with one's wife, some with one's friends, and so on and so forth. But for a married man, usually, the best person to share one's thoughts should be logically his wife, given the few exceptions here and there; for bachelors and spinsters, their friends (either sex they may be) and for elders, it is in the form of advice for one and all - whether they like it or not!
