Who will win the NFC North (Edited 08/02/08 11:41AM by Seth)
With the addition of Jared Allen from the the Cheifs who lead the leauge in sack last year.  I think the Vikings have the best team in this division even with an unstable QBThis poll is closed but has not yet been scored. Check back later to see the final results.

+7 thumbs upIt really is a toss up between the Packers and the Vikings, seeing that they both have unproven QB's.  As far as defense I see both of them in the top ten next season.  Vikings have the runiing game while the Packers have the air game.  Pretty good match up.

Across all 53 guys... I think Packers are younger, deeper, and better coached. But Vikings have a scary defense that if it can actually stay healthy ( which hasn't happened in last few years) can win games for them. Obviously, AP is the real deal... best RB in this division since Sanders and the late great sweetness. But not having a QB and a weak WR crew make them vulnerable. Plus...their secondary is not that good.

Here is my breakdown:

QB - Packers   ( think most Viking fans would take Rogers or brohm over Jackson or Booty)

RB- Vikes (best running attack in NFC?)

WR/TE - Packers

Off line - tie

def line - Vikes ( one of  best in NFL w/ Allen)

LB- Packers

secondary - packers  ( both are vulnerable)

special teams - Packers

Vikes will have to win on the road and outdoors after october to win the division. Packers have very tough schedule. Rogers is a huge???

my bias says packers win it and Vikes a wild card

+2 thumbs upyes... and it is a majikowski jersey! Though I love favre...am actually somewhat excited he left and move into new era. Any news on these rumors i keep hearing about an outdoor stadium for Vikes? Makes me remember those snowy games at the Met back in tjhe days of tarkenton when I was a little kid. Those were classics!

+2 thumbs upI gotta go w/ the Vikings on this.  I think they far underachieved last year for the talent they had.  They've only increased in talent, while the rest of the divsion has raised questions.  That defense should be pretty tight, now.  But how's this for a shocker, the team in the NFC North w/ the most secure QB, is the Lions!!  I don't know how the Pack will fair w/o Favre, but I think Detroit's on the up, too.  I'll say Vikes, Lions, Pack, Bears.  I know, I know...

+3 thumbs upI'd be happy to wager you that Packers finish ahead of Lions! For those of you who weren't paying attention due to the ridiculous over coverage of favre... packers have a young and deep roster

+3 thumbs upI would take the Vikings over the Packers. Based on the fact that the Vikings have a really good running game. The Packers do not. Both teams have question marks at QB. But I think the Vikings have a better defense, or at least a better front 4. I think the Lions will finish last. Where they belong. The have not improved and Millen still runs that team.

+2 thumbs upRyan Grant ( not AP) led NFC in rushing in second half of season last year... last 9 weeks packers had one of the better running games in NFL... and Grant will only get better. I agree, Vikes have a better running game and a better front 4 on defense... I think Packers are better in all other areas

+2 thumbs upim still not sold on Ryan Grant...i think he just got hot at the right time and teams wear not excepting the Pack to run the ball since they didnt do much running during the 1st half of the season

+2 thumbs upI still have to go with the Packers- even with Rodgers at QB!  The Vikings have got nothing as far as a passing game on offense and most teams have already figured this out. A.P. is one of the best RB's in the NFL, but he cant do it all. both defenses are good and should keep them in alot of games, but you still have to go uptop to win in the NFL and Jackson (so far at least) has been horrible.... Advantage- Packers!

+1 thumbs updisagree mainly because, I'll admit Jackson isnt a good QB but he has experince that Rodgers doesnt have.  All young QB's need a good running game. The Vikings have the best in the NFL so we jus basicly need him not to lose the game for us.  It work with the Ravens why not with the Vikes.  The defense is also #1 agianst the run and with the addition of Allen the pass D will get better.  They were last against the pass last year but it was misleading only because they were throw against the most as well because teams couldnt run against them

+2 thumbs upi don't know what to think about Rodgers. But, I will put it this way. I believe that the defense for GB is stronger and will be able to shut down the lions, bears and vikings offense. Sure, the Vikings have AP, who is a great player, but was completely shut down in the game @ Lambeau and wasn't a huge factor at the dome. I think that GB's recievers and defense are all better than the Vikings recievers and defense. The RB is hard to compare right now. Was AP's rookie year a fluke? Was season Grant had after being picked up by GB a fluke? I think the Viking have a SLIGHT edge on Running Back, but I would take Rodgers and Bohm over Jackson and Booty. The Vikings are a good team and should get a Wild-Card, but I think Green Bay will take the division

+1 thumbs upI'll have to disagree that Jackson has experience that Rodgers doesn't have. Sure he played in alot more games, but merely playing in a game and not producing doesn't necessarily give you the "experience edge". Jackson cant handle learning the whole playbook, therefore the pass plays have been scaled back, his mechanics are horrible, his arm strength is just so-so, and his accuracy is horrendous- experience on the field cant change his physical attributes- can it?
