+3 thumbs upI'm assuming Tim Tebow will still be alive in November, so I'll say the Gators.
To Richmond Spider: uh if Florida is still undefeated by then, probably quite a few oh, I'd say millions since college football is pretty popular

Florida will be undefeated because their non-conference schedule contains the Florida School for the Blind and Deaf Needlepointers and the Georgia School of Underwater Basketweaving.  I am sorry - Tim Tebow is NOT Superman as the media has made him out to be.  Michigan figured him out real quick, I mean MICHIGAN last season for God's sake, and everyone this year will have his number this year.

I agree - College Football is the best - but come on... FSU is hanging on reputation alone - and until someone finally grows some and gets rid of Bowden they will continue to be "Free Shoes U" - and Tebow's days are numbered, unless Urban can come up with a new and innovative way to use him - he will go the way of every other rushing quarterback - great for a season or two until people get his number - then gone as fast as he came.  Florida should take this in a cakewalk... but again I ask, in the grand scheme of life and College Football, Who F-in cares?

+2 thumbs upFirst don't ever tell me I listen to the media....I wouldn't insult your intelligence do me the same courtesy.
Tim Tebow was not allowed to play defense in the Capital One Bowl game although he begged to. Not sure how you figure Michigans defense  did anything vs Tebow: Tebow 154 yds passing 3 TD's 0 INT,  57 yds rushing 1 TD  .. Obviously the game plan was to get the ball to Percy Harvin who had 242, yes 242 yards from scrimmage. Did you even WATCH the game? Both offenses would have kept scoring at will if they'd decided to play all day.
Did you watch any full games that Florida played last year?
Have you ever lived in Florida?  While I personally don't have as big an interest as I used to have in the UF-FSU game it is still the biggest college football game in the state every year.
You also need to keep up a little bit with what's happening in the present and the future. But, hey, that's why FANIQ is here: While in the recent past UF has scheduled notoriously easy schools, this year they have 2008 BCS Sugar Bowl participant Hawaii and have renewed their rivalry with UMiami. Certainly not USC or Georgia but, oh wait they play in the SEC (where they WILL face Georgia), the toughest conference in college football. They will also face South Florida in 2010 and 2011, that won't be easy.
As for FSU, they pretty much suck, we will see if that young team can grow up this year.
One last thing, you mentioned UF will be undefeated...they meet each other at the end of the year, so again why end with "who cares?" Obviously they would be in the #1 spot in the BCS rankings, so wouldn't logic dictate that most all college football fans would care?

Agreed - my apologies for the media comment!

I lived in Florida for 40 years... since 1968.  I have been to more UF games than I care to count and have had UF shoved down my throat for the entire 40 years I lived there.  Granted, it is the biggest game in the State - but how many people really care outside of the Sunshine State?  People in Florida suck down rock shrimp like they are gold but I don't see much demand for them outside of the state.  I was at the Captial One Bowl last year, like I had been for the past 10 or so years as I lived in Orlando - and I saw a good team get eaten alive by another good team - who figured out how to stop Tebow.  If their yardage was so awesome then why did they lose - could it be their totally lackluster defense, very average to below average special teams play?

They scheduled Miami - oh boy - another FSU.  Hawaii - do you really think they will be a threat after losing Colt this year... even with him we saw how wonderful they were when you take them out of conference.  South Florida... please - another good team - that can and will get beat by another good team on any given Saturday.

I don't believe that they can beat Georgia - and I honestly think that there will be at least one other SEC loss.  Lets face it, it sounds like you are a die hard UF fan, and there is no other college team that I hate more than UF - we may have to agree to disagree on this one!

+2 thumbs upTo even notion that UF will go undefeated is hogwash. They have to play UGA who got 90% of their team back and UT IN Tennessee. Undefeated is highly unlikely in the SEC do I have to mention Auburn last year? I thought not.
