+4 thumbs upI can't stand the Yankees, but I can't help but love A-Rod.  He's not that great in the postseason, but he's one of, if not THE best baseball player of this generation along with Griffey Jr.

+4 thumbs up.279 / 7 / 17 in 39 postseason games isn't absolutely horrible.Look at Bonds in the playoffs, 48 games 9 HR 24 RBI and a .245 AVG. Ramirez has also had almost triple the games in the postseason than A-Rod. With 24 career HR's for Manny in the playoffs (13 of which were with the Indians. how many WS did they win?) his .269 AVG is really nothing special. I still go with A-Rod.

+3 thumbs upNow that Manny's not a Red Sox anymore and is playing great for the Dodgers, I'm going to have to go with him.  He's great in the post-season!  Unfortunately, I fear the Dodgers might not make the post-season if they don't help him with run support.

+1 thumbs upSorry I will have to disagree with u totally on that comparison. First off no A-Rod team has never ever won. He has failed miserably ever time he had a chance to perform. The key here is clutch hitting not what overall avg and games u have played in. Maybe if A- rod would have done his job and come through in the clutch then he would have as many games as Ramirez in the postseason. Also Bonds has failed to come through in the playoffs too. Note also number of years he has played versus number of world series titles. Zero titles and in fact just 2 wins and 7 losses in the playoff matchups. Also A- rod is 3 and 7 in series matchups and no World Series appearances. While Ramirez has maintained a 12 win 7 loss in playoff matchups. While going 4 and 2 in the LCS and 2 and 2 in the World Series. You can have A- rod and Bonds becuase you will be watching us beat you while we celebrate winning.

That was one of the most ignorant comments that I have even seen. I didn't realize that both A-Rod and Ramirez both single handedly controlled their teams destiny. Since when did they pitch? Those are the only players that compile a win/loss record. I also notice that you are a Red Sox fan which obviously makes your answer correct. Let me bow down to you now.

+1 thumbs uptake a-rod...better defense in a series.  manny might hit the clutch shot, but a-rod will play the solid D to preserve a win.
