Will the Raiders draft a positional need in '08 or will they draft the best player available at numb

With Al Davis at the helm, the Raiders seem to draft football players that have gifted potential but don't alway fit the need of the team. What way will Al go this year, Who will it be?

#3 \| 240 days ago BIG (+)	If jake Long is not there which he won't be (Dolphins already getting a contract ready). They should take Cedrick Ellis, he's from California and he's just a beast. I think he's better than Dorsey plus no injurie problems, and it would meet there need. I'm guessing though that they take mcFadden or Gholsten. USC

#4 \| 240 days ago Keeter (+)	No option for a 'trade' ? Think Dallas may put together a package to trade 1st round picks, and select McFadden at # 4 ??? Would make sense for each time; Dallas wants the big-time RB to pair w/ Barber, and Oakland can use the ~3 extra picks that Dallas would likely have to give up (1st rd, 3rd & 5th ?)

#6 \| 233 days ago scottraven (+)	Right now, the consensus is that we'll take Gholsten. However, new news out of Oakland, is that Chris Long may fall to us, giving us either a second gen Raider, or, we still take McFadden. I'm not sold on Vernon, but then, the draft to me has always been a guessing game. Look at guys like Gallery, in College. Great player, but it didnt' translate into pro material. Some also wonder if Vernon will be the next Mike Mamula, great on film, but in the pros, a flame-out. Ohio State
