It's hard w/ both the Red Sox and Cowboys up there, but since Boston's got NY envy, I'll go w/ them.

+1 thumbs upNo No No ... we don't think "Texas IS the whole country" ... we're too poor to drive far enough to get out of this damn state, Santa Anna is still invading, andddd the "Water suckssss, it reallly reallllly sucks!!" so we "reckon" there's no more country beyond the border.

Keep in mind we ride our horses to school, get gun licenses after kindergarden, start dipping in 3rd grade, and celebrate graduation after 5th ... how much more 'country' do we need???

+2 thumbs upNo offense, but I have been in different parts of Texas on several occassions and didn't find it all that interesting.  Maybe I just went to the wrong cities.  What is it about Texas that Texans love so much?

+1 thumbs upI'm not sure if this counts as a Texan, but my Persian ex-wife lived in Texas for 15 years or so.  And for all her other dubious issues, her looks were definitely NOT among them.

Yes, I am a Dallas homer, however if you have ever attended a road game with the Cowboys, you will see that in some stadiums, there are just as many Cowboy fans as home-town fans.  Also, the Dallas Cowboys franchise is valued at $1.5 BILLION.  #1 in any sport.

+1 thumbs upBandwagoning a-holes don't speak for America.  If everybody in every city could afford tickets, there wouldn't be road team fans anywhere.  That proves nothing.  Either does how much money they make.  I definitely don't see people walking around with Romo and Owens jerseys (not to mention relative nobodies like Barber) like they used to with Aikman, Irvin and Smith.
