So original throwing snowballs at Santa. Of course it is the Phillies they are the reigning World Series Champions. They will be the best team until they are knocked off their perch. Go PHILLIES!!

The Phillies once again proved that Philadelphia is a town of chokers!  LOL  j/k guys, but the Phillies really had NO CHANCE to beat the Yankees this season and neither did ANY OTHER team in MLB!  The Yankees were on a mission from day one and NOBODY was gonna derail that train.  Good luck next year guys....

R u kidding me? i think what you mean to say is they were all roided up from day one. they dont know what a farm system is so they cant produce any players. they just bought them. in my correct opinion they bought the  world series.

Yankees 2009 "Farm System" Players:   Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada, Robinson Cano, Melky Cabrea, Brett Gardner, Phillip Hughes, Nate Robertson, Joba Chamberlain, and a few "others'" that I can't think of off the top of my head!  Oops forgot ALDS, ALCS, and World Series game CLINCHING Pitcher Andy Pettitte!   What's your point??? Oh yeah don't forget Matsui either (World Series MVP)- the Yankees are the ONLY MLB Team he has ever played for- technically making him a "Yankees Farm System player"! Just a thought!

I call em as I see em! I came with absolute FACTS as to who were actually "Farm System Players" for the 2009 World Series Champion New York Yankees. I'll even venture to say that they have just as many or MORE Farm Systems players on their current roster as do ALL the teams they faced in this years playoffs. I know for a fact that the Phillies #1 and #2 Pitchers in the World Series (Lee and Martinez) are NOT Phillies "Farm System Players"! My point is that alot is made about the Yankees trying to "buy a World Series" (and maybe they do- ALL TEAMS do) but a good majority of their players have come from their own Farm System as well.

Here's my wisdom, and my "wisdom" comes from Facts! Here is a list of the 2009 MLB Playoff Teams and where they RANK as far a team payroll... Now you decide if it's ONLY the Yankees trying to "buy a World Championship": Yankees #1, Red Sox #4, Angels #6, Phillies #7, Dodgers #9, Cardinals #17, Rockies #18, Twins # 24...... From these FACTS, 5 of the 8 Playoff teams ranked in the TOP 10 of total team salaries, and 2 of them played in the World Series. Once again, the Yankees are NOT the ONLY team trying to "buy a Championship"!   I do find it interesting though, that you claim the Angels as your favorite team- all the while throwing stones in glass houses- how many of those Angels "Starters" are "Farm System Players"???  HMMMMMMM
