Wainwright was great and very steady, but I think Carpenter set the tone for the entire pitching staff.  His great pitching pushed others to do the same, especially Wainwright.

Everytime the Cards were down Carp would pitch a great game followed by a typical Wainwright pitching performance to get us back on track!

You have to give Wainwright some credit for holding the Staff together during some tough times this season....

You couldnt go wrong with picking either Carpenter or Wainwright.  I chose Carpenter because he was the guy who was always able to right the ship when the Cardinals started scuffling.  He also led the NL in ERA, tied for 1st in WHIP and was 2nd in the NL in wins.  Had he not missed 6 weeks in the middle of the season, he more then likely would've had 21 or 22 wins
