I'm not going by stats, but rather how I personally think each team has looked in games that I have watched.

I can't wait for bowl season.  I want to see if SEC defenses are truly that good or if the offenses are that bad.  They have dominated so far this season in conference play.

No question here. Not only does Florida have the best defense in the SEC, they have the best defense in the country.

LSU I list 4th in the SEC because they started out slow but have gotten much better as each week goes by. By end of season we could actually be above some of the others.  Two or 3 interceptions against Auburns Defense.

Remember, Tennessee is in a rebuilding year. Yet they have played either two different teams raked No.1 or the teams ranked 1 and 2 and in each case their coaches made excuses after the game about their team not feeling good. Aww, poor babies what does it take to prove it the best two teams in the nation with subpar offensive days against the same defense.

Yea blame it on the flu.

I know you're not referring to Alabama.  No one on the team was sick and no one has made any excuses.

Well, except for Lane Kiffin.  He's the only coach I've ever heard of that wanted a penalty called on a player after the game was over.  I guess he's working on that extra 15 yards for next seasons game, huh?

Any fan of Tennessee has absolutely no right to call out anyone else for whining.

I understand being a fan, Bama people, but Florida's defense is by far better than anyone else in the SEC, and is the best in the nation.  It's their offense that's bad.

Of course I do. Was "Kiffin" wrong yes he was! That wasn't my point. My point was that both teams tried to explain away a sub-par offense performance. I admit Alabama and Florida beat Tennessee. BUT give them a bit of credit...they did well against two of the best teams in the nation. And it wasn't because one team was sick and the other team was tired. It is because this very young team is going to be very good!

My point is that these coaches are using excuses to suggest that UT isn't as good as they are...it is for recruiting purposes and to try and sway a few votes in the polls.

Nope.  Nick Saban never said the game was close because Bama was tired.  He said Bama really needs this bye week after playing 8 consecutive weeks and 3 straight top 25 defenses.  Everyone at Alabama knew the Tennessee game was going to be a dogfight, especially against that Tennessee defense.

The only person making excuses after the game was Kiffin.

That isn't what they showed on the TV here!

every year south carolina does good the firsy 7 games then take a tumble. an their defense gets tired because their offence cant do the job. like in the tenn. an ark. even the alabama games their offence could not move the ball and made turn overs.
