Who do you think won between Machida and Shogun?
This fight really surprised me seeing how Shogun looked so good against Machida. It really upset me though when I saw Shogun lose a fight I thought he deserved to win. (even though I thought before the fight machida would win).

Obviously Machida won, check the judge's scorecards. If you are asking who deserved to win.....well then, my plan is to wait a few days & watch the fight again; alone in a room, & several days removed from all the hype. Only then will I be able to state definitively who I Know was the most deserving of the win. At the time it felt close enough to be a draw.......If I feel the same way 3 days from now I'm going to say the judges made the right call because in the event of a draw, the champ keeps the belt. If they goofed up......well, there's always UFC 109. What can one do? It's become almost "proverbial" that MMA judges are incompetent 8 out of 10 times. there should be a training school they have to pass through, rather than letting them come over strait from boxing.

i scored it as a dead tie, and it's even worse then that, many of the judges don't even have boxing experience, Nevada athletic commision just gives those guys their jobs as favors, they have no real knowledge, they mark down a point when some guy gets slammed or if he gets hit in the face, if a guy starts bleeding, they give the fight to the other guy
or they just fall asleep and give a 1 point victory to the fighter who is happy enough that he looks like he won

They really should hold higher standards for who judges.

Machida is amazing...undefeated and still relatively humble...alot of other guys could learn a lesson how a true champion conducts and handles himself (Im looking in your direction Mr. BJ Penn).

well, it's difficult to make the argument that machida is as unbeatable and great after that shogun fight, i thought he was a second/ improved anderson silva but perhaps we won't see that for a few more years yet. BJ penn is a great champ, i would hardly call him cocky
try watching machida's last few fights rather than just looking at his record on wikipedia
and watch more of BJ penn, i don't know why you think he is cocky, because he says he's gonna win before every pre-fight interview?? is that your definition of cocky?
