That it awesome that they have these places. We went as a family to a place like that in Tennessee, while these animals are well taken care of they are still in captivity and they still were in cages. I did not really know at the time whether they are returned to the wild. Dad loves animals we walked around and took pictures and watched them being fed. Dad even petted some, not me!  Some have health problems they were tending too. Tiger Haven I think it was called has been there since 1991. But it is still sad that although they are rescued yet they still are in cages. Thanks for sharing.

They are not usually returned to the Wild, because they probably wouldn't survive after being in captivity due to injuries, illness and the fact that they would probably be killed if they went back to the wild. Tigers that are only temporarily taken in for treatment of trap injuries or other problems are usually released right away when they are healthy enough. Once in capitivity for a long period of time they won't go back.

Yes I totally understand that releasing them again would be cruel. Deadly in fact, I just was saying that we did visit that Tiger Haven was interesting the time spent and money spent. It is amazing and was a great visit lots of memories with my dad. Thanks for the poll.
