Can the Steelers win two Superbowls in a row?
There's a lot of parity in the league right now from good to bad. If the Steelers play their game and stay consistent as they did last season, they could get another ring. Can the Steelers win two Superbowls in a row? Photo

I think there is a very good chance they can repeat as long as they can stay healthy

I would like nothing more than to see the steelers not even make the playoffs, but they are the luckiest team in the NFL.  Hence theyre game against the Browns last year, and against the Vikings this year.  But they have no chance in hell, and only great quarterbacks even the only have a small chance.

I think they have a very good chance at a repeat! and here is why..... Rothlisberger and the Pittsburgh offense looks better than they have in the past few years capable of putting up points when needed! if there Defense can get back to the level of play that they were at last year.... then they not only can repeat they prolly will....

The Steelers have in the past won back to back superbowls. All in the 70's! It can be done and it would be nice for it to happen again! Anything is possible!

I think the steelers are pretty over rated, i kind of think they dont stand a chance in the playoffs this year because if they can beat the ravens they still have to go up against the colts, who in my oppinion is going to the super bowl for the AFC, i just dont see the steelers going again
oh my Superbowl prediction is colts and saints, its going to be a good one

This poll is the perfect illustration of the difference between "Can I __________?" and "May I __________?" ...or "I will __________." and "I may __________." ... or that which is certain, and that which is possible.

Can the Steelers win two Super Bowls in a row?  Yes, any team can.  Will the Steelers win two Super Bowls in a row?  They may...but I doubt it.

The Steelers have never been a "pretty" team, they just have a way of winning important games.  Any of the top 10 teams can win the Super Bowl, I will depend on injuries as the season progresses.  At the beginning of the season the Steelers could just as easily been 0-4 or 4-0... they just couldn't finish a game.  Hopefully, the defense will play through the forth quarter and our almost non-existant runnung game will become more consistant.

Wow....

In the salary cap "era" it is definitely more difficult...but the Steelers kept most of the pieces in place, and upgraded elsewhere (Mike Wallace=HUGE upgrade over Nate Washington...if Sweed could catch, I think you could make an argument Ben has the best WR/TE to throw to in the league...I mean top to bottom before anyone freaks out, and Sweed can't catch, so...)

The defense was off to a slow start, but with #43 back, the ship is slowly being righted. Holding Allday to 68, and Farve to zero TD's, not to mention putting up 14, yes...the defense, combined with the improved offense gives them the best shot to repeat of any team in recent history trying to do it...other than the Pats, who did...

Exactly. Of course it's possible, but I don't think it's likely. I'd give the Phillies better chances to repeat than the Steelers.

Also, you speak of "a lot of parity" in the NFL right now, and I don't think that's true. Parity means the majority of teams are close to the same level and any team in that group would have roughly equal chances of winning it all. That is definitely not the case. There are a few great teams, a few more good teams, even fewer one would call "average" or "mediocre" and several that are simply awful. I'd say that at most, 25% of the teams (8 of 32) have even a remotely realistic shot of winning the Super Bowl.

I think they can and they will...Roethlisberger is a money quarterback who plays better in big games.

Remember, two years ago the Steelers season was shaky and the Colts were on a big winning streak, but they lost to the Steelers in the AFC champioship.

What was your prediction when they played the Vikings? Parity also means the best team can lose as equally as they can win.

I love the way you can make fun of any other team in the league, and get "funny", "bold" or "smart", but if you make fun of the holy Steelers you get 7 PQ's.

The way I see it... they're not even going to get close unless Ben stops checking his e-mail, writing in his diary, and texting his Mom when he drops back to pass. Throw the ball man... sheesh!!!
Every time Ben drops back it's an injury waiting to happen and one of these days he's going to wait too long and get a lineman rolling up on the back of his knee. Makes for some exciting plays and every once in awhile his habit of waiting to pull the trigger pays off but when it doesn't pay off he gets hit... alot.
I'm playing the odds with my prediction.

The STEELERS proved it last year and in the two, NOT once but TWO back to back super bowl wins, yes both of those were in the 70's, but as the old saying goes: Offense wins games but DEFENSE wins CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!!!!  With that said if our offense can hold onto the ball and quit fumbling and the defense can continue to make plays we have a really good shot.

Oops. Phillies had no chance. Steelers still have a very good chance.

Also, not all teams in the NFL could do it. Only 1 could attempt it this year.

it'll definitely be close, a lot of the teams in the NFL kind of suck this year, the Steelers only real tough AFC opponents this year seem to be the Colts, and the Ravens(maybe), but who knows

Phillies actually had several chances, but that's neither here nor there now. And I wasn't saying that any team could repeat; I was saying that maybe a quarter of the teams have a realistic chance of reaching and winning the Super Bowl this year. But any time a team wins, there's a chance they can win again the following year.

They have done it before twice If they keep playing as good as they are I have the confidence in my boys
of the black and gold. That the Steelers can do it and win the SB and Rocky Bleier should get in to Canton
Go Steelers and shut up those who dont believe
