Should the Raiders fire JaMarcus Russell?
The Raiders starting quarterback hasn't been doing his job very well, and now the Raideras are begginning to scout out other QB's as possibilities.

Should they fire (demote and/or BENCH) Mr. Russell?  Absolutely, he is the WORST QB to play in the NFL in years!  The REAL question is: "Should the Raiders have even DRAFTED him"???? The answer is NO... As I said a few years ago, Russell would NEVER be a good NFL QB (I also said the same about Vince Young)!  Guess I was right in BOTH cases.. LOL

They should demote him to third string and give him some time to think about how badly he wants to be a NFL quarterback.  If he decides that he wants to put in the time and effort nessesary to be a quarterback in the NFL, and the Raiders feel that he is committed to this, he should be allowed to compete for the starting job next training camp.  The Raiders should not fire him otherwise they will have wasted the first overall draft pick.  At the very least you trade him, even if it only for a box of water bottles and a few footballs.

LOL, I don't think ANY NFL Team would even give up a box of water bottles and a few footballs for Russell!    Sorry, I know you are a Raiders fan, but the guy absolutely SUCKS! And on top of sucking, he doesn't even take responsibility for his play, in fact he thinks "I played good"!  What a joke.....

He is so bad, He could not make it as a third stringer for any other NFL team and yet he is still starting for the Raiders, What a mess!!!!!!! Come on Raiders stop slapping the women and find a decent Qb!!!!!!!

Maybe they can covert him to linebacker or fullback, at least then he could earn some of his money on special teams.

In the NFL, we use the term, "cut" or 'waive'.

Or they should just find the fastest QB in the draft. And pick them in the first round despite where everyone else has him ranked.

You need a true QB that can read defenses and Russell cannot. Oakland should not trade a part QB for another part QB in Tebow. I would say Mcoy due to his arm strength but I really lean toward either pike or Bradford but their injuries make me nervous with Oaklands pourous O line.

Maybe the Raiders should make a move for Vick.  I would prefer a veteran QB as opposed to another rookie.  What veterans do you think the Raiders could get?
#13 | 12 days ago

Russell sucks, I hope I can say that in here, I dare anyone to tell me that isn't a true statement. They need to let him go ASAP, I like the Vick option, draft Bradford or McCoy. I think Tebow is quite a talent, but I just can't picture him in Silver and Black.

You're only 14 so you won't remember this, but Todd Marinovich is the worst QB the Raiders have ever had. He didn't last long and turned into a crystal meth junkie. They drafted him as their future QB instead of Brett Favre.

I find it hard to picture Tebow As a Raider as well.  But you never know, he may try to start up a bible study group with the fans in the blackhole.

If we are going to have a conversation about the worst QB in Raider's history we need to mention Mark Wilson.

They should put Al Davis in a nursing home first, then draft a decent QB.

I dont think he should b fired but he most definitly b demoted & hav him sit & watch lik vince young had 2 last yr & force him 2 refocus him self on the game & in his defense u cant blame his play all on him what do u expect with all rookie wr's they had 9 dropped passes in the game u cant when lik that he also could use a real coach that will hold his feet 2 the fire & make him come in early & leave late cause his play isnt the problem its his attitude that suck he shows no passion 4 the game

If they were to draft Tim Tebow (Which I don't believe they would think about it) you may be saying the same thing about him. haha

Maybe they can get Ryan Leaf out of retirement means they would have to post his bail though.

Well after today, it does appear that the Raiders don't need him.  He could still maybe develop into a #2.
