Filter Error Weekend Edition: No Fighting Edition
The only fighting i want to see in here for the next two days is the kind that involves bare breasts and oil

Cause when you fight about sports (especially baseball) you sound like this...

But if you don't want to play by the rules...and like fighting over complete nonsense...then just remember this...

Best breakfast if I can't have pancakes, is this

Though.....after the hot as b*lls week I had teaching 30 7year olds with no AC, pancakes sure would have been welcomed. Sigh. I curse you weather!

My sweet sweet mom met me at the mall last night after work (I was about to cancel on her when she phoned me she was on her way.....mom guilt is powerful). My nephew's wedding is Friday and we both needed dresses. First store--------we both found one AND mine was 20 bucks! Then my mom buys me dinner and a beer. She's the best!

I'm up early for some tea my sister is throwing for her future daughter in law. I have my fingers crossed that I'm not going to get a panicked call asking for me to do something other than show up. AFter, I'm going to my teacher heaven (Lakeshore Learning) with my teach friend who signed a contract Thursday----wHOO HOOO!

Have a swell weekend.

P.S---I WANT my mutha f'n HOCKEY FIXED!!!!!!

P.S.S----Bill Maher cracked me up last night.

Omg I love your poll choices! Ill be back after eeny meeny miny moe and more coffee! Mornin all!

Let me ask a question? Why are kids different at other places than they are at home? Jack's den mother was describing a kid in her den and I was thinking in my head, wow, wish that was my kid, (der) it was. I honestly did not recognize him in her words. I will say he is quite the salesman. I am so very proud of him. If folks don't want popcorn (that's what they are selling) he asks them to donate a quarter for the serviceman fund. They are sending care packages to a group they have "adopted".  I'm tired and glad its the weekend. Football & Racing!

A guy is walking along the strip in Las Vegas and a knockout looking hooker catches his eye. He strikes up a conversation and eventually asks the hooker, "How much do you charge?"

Hooker replies, "It starts at $500 for a h-job."

Guy says, "$500 dollars?! For a h-job?! No h-job is worth that kind of money!"

The hooker says, "Do you see that Denny's on the corner?"

"Yes."

"Do you see the Denny's about a block further down?"

"Yes."

"And beyond that, do you see that third Denny's?"

"Yes."

"Well," says the hooker, smiling invitingly, "I own those. And, I own them because I give a h-job that's worth $500."

The guy thinks to himself, "What the hell? You only live once. I'll give it a try." and accepts the hooker's offer.

They retire to a nearby motel. A short time later, the guy is sitting on the bed realizing that he just experienced the h-job of a lifetime, worth every bit of $500. He is so amazed, he says, "I suppose a bj is $1,000?"

The hooker replies, "$1,500."

"I wouldn't pay that for a bj!"

The hooker replies, "Step over here to the window, big boy. Do you see that casino just across the street? I own that casino outright. And I own it because I give a bj that's worth every cent of $1,500."

The guy, basking in the afterglow of that terrific h-job, decides to put off the new car for another year or so, and says, "Sign me up."

Ten minutes later, he is sitting on the bed more amazed than before. He can scarcely believe it, but he feels he truly got his money's worth. He decides to dip into the retirement savings for one glorious and unforgettable experience. He asks the hooker, "How much for some vag**a?"

The hooker says, "Come over here to the window, I want to show you something. Do you see how the whole city of Las Vegas is laid out before us, all those beautiful lights, gambling palaces, and showplaces?"

"Damn!" the guy says, in awe, "You own the whole city?"

"No," the hooker replies. "But I would if I had a vag**a."

Becky and Christi,  I'm with both of you in regards to my distraught over the NHL  frown

However, there's NO legal requirement for a lockout in the absence of a new agreement. smiley Both sides can continue to operate under the old/current CBA while negotiations continue for a new one. The players have already stated that they are willing to play under the current/old CBA.......So, there is a glimpse of hope!

"Under the current agreement, the players receive 57 percent of hockey-related revenue. The NHL’s most recent proposal was a gradual reduction to 47 percent; under the union’s latest offer, should league revenue grow at the same rate as in the past 10 years, the players’ share would fluctuate and remain above 52 percent."

I don't know about you, but I find it surprising that the players received 57% and won't settle for the 47-52%!
The surprising part, to me is that the owners should receive the majority of the revenue, not the players.......the owners, own the franchises and i think owners should always get the majority of that.  (shrug)  -  not sure how a 5-10% decrease, but still getting 1/2 of the revenues, it that big of a deal?!?!?

So, a ref took back a 60 yd game winning td by a 6 year old for what may have been a block in the back ten yards behind the play :|. First of all, it wasn't a block in the back, kid just cut off the closest defensive player to the runner like he was supposed to, and they basically tripped over each other. But, either way they are 5 and 6 year olds(!) and had already scored. 60 yds! You don't call that bs....imo. Annnd you were wrong. He calls so many fouls, you'd think it was Friday Night Lights every week. He'd fit right in as an NFL backup ref right now. F***er.  It's probably best I didn't have a boy. I'd be an angry sports mom. The kids' dad just walked back down the sideline and took a seat. Good man. Then, to top it off it's hot as f*** outside! I can't tell you the last time I sweat through everything. High noon games are for idiots. We didn't even put up the food when we walked in, just jumped straight in the shower. I'll be so f***ing glad when summer is officially done.

We almost shot ourselves in the foot in the 2nd half today.  We were up 36-7 at halftime.  We only won by 5, and that was determined in the final minute of the game.  We faced our first true test today and my heart can't take another one like that.

To show all the world what kind of front-running, fair-weather fans for all teams pro or college are in Miami, Florida, here is a picture-perfect example of just that. The total number of people who showed up for Bethune-Cookman College vs University of Miami at Joe Robbie Stadium [I know it is now called Landshark Stadium, but the late owner of the Dolphins went broke building the stadium WITHOUT getting any help financially from Dade County, Broward County, or the State of Florida, so to me it will always be JOE ROBBIE(S) STADIUM] was 300. That's right. 300. That's a perfect number, if YOU ARE BOWLING (and if Miami doesn't solve it's offensive line woes against better teams, it might not be bowling this December/January) or a pretty decent film based on Greek history. For fan attendance, it's horrible and the reason why I talk so much smack against any and all things Miami.

The only time you see any true fans is when they are close to the postseason in any sport. Take 2003 Marlins for example. Didn't draw more than 16, 000 to a game until Mid August when people around here actually realized they might be good. Same for Miami Heat in 2005, Pre-Shaq. Pathetic sports fans.

In spite of our win, we dropped from 19 to 20.  And we deserved to.  It was a tale of two halves.  If we had played the 2nd half like we did the first, we'd be legit.

Even though according to the arbiter of the Internet Jason thinks arguing about sports on a purported sports site makes you mentally challenged, I'll bite.

Why exactly do the owners deserve the majority of the revenue, especially when "Hockey Related Revenue" is not, as far as I know, all encompassing of all the revenue earned? I especially ask since the league hasn't exactly been negotiating with good faith. The NHL wants to turn on the screws the way the NFL and NBA did. I haven't seen the last offer (I need to take a better look when I have time), but I'm willingly to bet the league "compromised" is just a superficial enough way to makes the players look bad. Which will work, because it always works. every. time.

Also, that gif is disgusting. I don't get the love of oil.

That's just my opinion.   In my mind, I think owners of all organizations, should get a majority of the revenue, even if it's 50.1%.  They built the empire, and pay for everything, so, in my mind, I believe they are entitled to a majority of the benefits......heck, in the past, the Owners took 100%....I'm not saying they still deserve that, but, I don't see how the players should get a majority of revenues that the owners and the league generate? 50/50 sounds more logical to me.

I see your point....I guess I'm just more old school when it comes to that?  (shrug)

So, oil wrestling is disgusting to you?  Do you prefer jello or mud, instead?  smiley cheeky
