1. Chris Paul - Floor general that doesn't let his size stop him. if he continues to do what he is currently doing he will make it in.

2. Alex Rodriguez - PEDs definitely tainted his application. if Barry will, A-Rod will follow (and to believe he could have been something special for The M's).

3. Andrew Luck - Too early to tell.

4. Chris Bosh - Yeah, one more title should make him a lock.

5. Prince Fielder - with MLB being a little bit harder to get in, Fielder is currently on the fence, a WS title can help, but he would need to continue hitting them HR's consistently in his next 5-7 years. (Again, could have doing it @ Safeco).

6. Ray Lewis - Yeah, his 2 rings and his Defensive Player of the Year award(s) will get him in.

Ray Lewis is only one that I feel is a given.  Paul,Luck and Bosh have great chance being still young.  Fielder plays baseball so only I seriously doubt anyone is a sure thing for the next 20 years.  A-Rod has no chance.

BOSH............????
A-ROD...........lmao............NOOOOOOOOOOOO
LUCK..............?????
PAUL..............NO
FIELDER.........????
LEWIS.............YES
#6 | 565 days ago

1. Paul is never going to stay healthy enough to put up the numbers, but clearly has the talent.
2. I think all the PED guys get in somewhere down the road. 10 years? 20? Idk?
3. Too soon. He could end up being Bledsoe for all we know. Very good, but not a HOF guy.
4. Bosh is going to get overshadowed by Wade and James, then eventually gain some momentum later on for the same reason. 50/50
5. He'll get a non PED boost, but i think he'll fall short. Also sabre guys will have more votes by then, probably hurting his chances.
6. Yep, no brainer.

Only ones I feel qualified to comment on are the two baseballers.

Alex Rodriguez...  Sure fire yes.

Prince Fielder...  Way too soon to call.

So...  Link to PED usage taints a player but a link to a double murder doesn't.

In order of likelihood:

Ray Lewis is a lock.

Chris Paul is well on his way, and I'm guessing Chris Bosh is on a closer path than most think.

I'm guessing I think more about the Baseball Hall of Fame than anyone else here, and I can say I've yet to think about Prince Fielder's candidacy, since he has half a career to go (Marcus, neither has any of the saber guys I'm guessing, so no idea if they would be for or against).

Alex Rodriguez should be a lock, of course, but won't of course because of the Sanctimony Police.

It is beyond pointless to even think about Andrew Luck's chances yet.

I think that's more of a league difference thing than a "punishment doesn't fit the crime" thing.

Link?  Didn't A-Rod confess after lying to Katie Couric In 2007.

In an interview with ESPN after the "report" came out, citing "an enormous amount of pressure to perform," Rodriguez admitted to using banned substances from 2001 to 2003. "All my years in New York have been clean,” he added, saying he has not used banned substances since last taking them following a spring training injury in 2003 while playing for the Rangers.  "Back then, [baseball] was a different culture," Rodriguez said. "It was very loose. I was young, I was stupid, I was naïve. And I wanted to prove to everyone that I was worth being one of the greatest players of all time. I did take a banned substance. And for that, I am very sorry and deeply regretful."

Murder charges against Lewis were dismissed in exchange for his testimony against Oakley and Sweeting. and his guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice.  Lewis admitted he gave a misleading statement to police on the morning after the killings. Superior Court Judge Alice D. Bonner sentenced Lewis to 12 months' probation. One year in prison is the maximum sentence for a first-time offender. and the immediate probation was the judge's decision. He was also fined $250,000 by the NFL, which was believed to be the highest fine levied against an NFL player for an infraction not involving substance abuse.

To me, On-the-field "taint" is more costly to HOF app then off the field even though Lewis never admitted to the murders. That's just me and mine. It's not like I have a ballot...

Chris Paul & Chris Bosh - I don't follow the NBA closely enough to make a guess on these two.

A-Rod will probably get in at some point but it will take him forever because of the steroids.

Prince Fielder is well on his way with the numbers he continues to put up every year, but I think it's too soon to consider him a lock.

Andrew Luck - waaaayyyyy too soon to tell!  Let's see 10 more years of that and less INTs and we'll talk.

Ray Ray is a lock, even I as an avid Steelers fan can't sit here and say he doesn't deserve to be in Canton.  Not putting him in is a travesty.

Ray Lewis should one day make the Federal Prison Hall of Fame.

Why would you ask about Andrew Luck after 1 season? Will Geno Smith be a HOFer?

A Rod will get in once the blue-noses voting for Baseball's HOF either retire or die.

Prince is a tough call...he's still relatively early in his career, and he doesn't have Ryan Howard's numbers (that's who he'll be judged against).

I don't have any opinion on the basketball players...don't watch enough to feel qualified.

To be honest, I hate individual honors in TEAM sports. Lewis has that fire and talent, and is one of my favorite athletes ever. Was he a better linebacker than Singletary or Butkus, maybe. Is he one of the best NFL players of all time, maybe. But I know his stats and greatness had something to do with guys like Siragusa shielding him and the communication on the field with Reed for instance. When you play a team sport, you understand that you have a role in helping a group win it all. The MVP awards, ESPYs, HOF ballots...I don't get that stuff.
