Honestly : Are you trying to annoy me in the middle of an ice storm?

ALRIGHT, I DID IT ...

I wrote a sappy F'n poll ... I know, I know ... F'n hang me!

So here it is ... the counter poll:

Talk s*** about Mah and Pah

We all know mothers and fathers go on their own tangents, based on their differing views of this world.  And, just like with "Driving Miss Daisy" they may or may not be the most intellectual of persuits.

What has Mah or Pah done that's gone and make you twitch?  Don't give me S***, ok well, give me some, but give the most of it to them!  It's what this is about!

What logic have you followed that they vehemently ignored?

As a self-centered teenager, I could have ranted for hours about the injustice I perceived I had to endure from my parents.  As a parent myself now, I can only stand in awe of how wise they truly were and wish I could be half as good of a mother as my own was and is.  My father passed away a few years ago and I often wonder if I showed him enough what a wonderful father, and man, he was.  I was blessed.

What? I don't know about you fools, but my mom is AWESOME!

Sure she made my eyes bug out of my head for admitting to me she didn't believe in evolution,  surprised the h#ll out of me by trying to set me up with the guy sitting next to us at the Kings games, and knows how to lay out the guilt like you would not believe, but she is AWESOME!

My Father would occasionally go on a drinking binge on holidays and he would get pretty mean. So when holidays came around and Friday after he would get off work I would wait by the window for him to get home like he did every other day. When he didn't come home for hours I knew he was out drinking and my Mom did too. It always scared me and made me sick even though I was just a kid, and sure enough he would come home drunk and be an A^%%%. I realized later in life that everyone has their flaws or makes their mistakes, but he still was my hero and worked hard all his life. I know one particular time after a drinking episode I wouldn't talk to him for days and I know how bad he felt, and he came to one of my softball games and I saw him in the stands watching like he always did. I forgave him, you don't judge someone and punish those you love when they make a mistake or two, especially when they have been the greatest the rest of the time. He was always there for me until he died so who am I to judge when I have made mistakes too?

I don't know what I will inherit and don't care I hate people who plan there life starting when Mom and Dad die.I just don't want a nursing home or the government sucking it all up at the end. This Medicare plan sucks my parents are throwing thousands of dollars in to co pays every year(and yes they do have a supplemental). I would like them to stop watching Fox news all the time. I told them not to worry about what is going on in the world they cant change it and all they are doing is fixating on it.

When I was 6, I was waiting on the porch for my father to come home from work like I did everyday...he got there and I ran up to him, "Daddy!!!" he looked at me and said, "You know what, Christina? I never loved you or your mother." and walked right past me. BASTARD!
When I was 4, we were at my "aunt and uncle's" (my mom's best friend) and we were all riding horses back and forth in the woods for the day...well my mom and uncle were in the house talking and I saw my father and "aunt" leave on their horses into the woods, so I  jumped on my horse and went to find them. I found them and when I saw them, I went back to the house and asked my mommy, "Mommy, why is Daddy and Aunt Jean naked and kissing in the woods?"

My mom she personally did the best she could. She became an alcoholic after my brother was born. I was 4. I had to basically be a mother to her and my baby brother. But, personally, I believe in no uncertain terms, My Mom is THE BEST! I love her so much. We are so close...and always have been. I have never had a curfew, never had rules. My mom always trusted me to do the right thing. And, I did. When I started smoking, I told on myself. (Yes, I am a dork) Ha! Even to this day my mom tells me I was the stupidest kid...I would ALWAYS tell on myself if I did something wrong. lol. But, my mom's guidance and love and care showed me how a person is supposed to be and she taught me to be the person I am today. I would give anyone the shirt off my back. I respect her for that. She thinks she was a bad mom. I always have to reassure her...she was a great mom...I tell her, "Mom, look at me. Look at who I am as a person. Now, do you think you were a bad mom?" Unfortunately she still says I raised myself, but I try to assure her that it was her Morals that taught me to be who I am.

My parents got divorced when I was in fifth grade.  They bent over backwards to make it as easy as possible on my brothers and sisters and when my stepbrothers and stepsisters were introduced into my life they made that easy as well.  We all still lived in the same town and there was no custody battles and they let us stay where we wanted when we wanted.  As the years went on they both became more than parents, they became two of my best friends as well and they are still to this day.  Cry "BULLSH**TER" if you want, but I have told people for years, especially when I hear about crappy family divorce stories, but my Mom and Dad are awesome and the times they did things that pissed me off I now look back on and realize I was the one in the wrong.

Not to mention the old man taught me how to drink like a pro and still be a professional.

I did the opposite of what they told me. They also told me about the consequences. Now that I have kids of my own I have since apologized for being a dumb ass and told him  he was right about everything. Damn it. That really hurt my pride. Because of that I am always one step ahead of my own kids. They hate it that I outsmart them all the time.

My father was killed in a traffic accident on the job leaving my Mother to raise me and my 2 sisters.  We had my Grandparents too.  I was very loved and spoiled growing up!  Then my mom got custody of two of her grandchildren and raised them the same way!  Yes, should has said and done a lot of things to P me off, but she has always been there for me!  I admire for being so strong and even when we argue I know If I need her she will come to me!  Now she is sick and I'm going to take care of her and be there for her!

Sure as a teenager, I thought I knew everything, but my parents are truly awesome.  The one thing that my mom does perfectly is lay out the guilt.  heck, I think it's second nature to her now.....heck even now, when I know she's laying it on thick....I still give in!!!

My mom and I can argue like no two others in the history of this world!!  Mainly because I'm about the most pondering dork who's ever lived and she's the most wise-a**, not-gonna-learn-nothin-new, honkey gal who'll argue a point ... just for the sake of arguing.

But ... we're also business partners, and her knowing I'm the biggest mommas boy in her lot of 8 kids, keeps her pressing my buttons.

I love it though ............... F'N LOVE IT ................... when she calls me a day or two after we have a fuss session and she suggests we go with my idea, and asks me to help her learn it!

Nobody else more interesting to debate with!
