Oklahoma should be in the national title game with all the talent they have.  However, Stoops teams haven't showed up in bowl games in recent years.

So you're telling me that a guy who has K-State football helmets as his avatar is a Texas fan? Interesting. And there wasn't any validity to his post at all.The only ones trying to get socially promoted was Texas with their banner flying and Mack Brown coming on a nationally televised game between OU and Texas Tech crying about how Texas should be voted ahead of OU after we had just pulverized the team that beat Texas. We played by the rules that we're set up,we didn't make the rules and we didn't try to change them when things didn't go our way like Mack did.

You can easily find out who a fan follows by holding your cursor over their avatar.

And my point is, you will have a hard time making a valid point if all you do is run down a persons team.

I'll also add that in my many years as a college football fan, I've found Sooner fans to be respectful of other teams and fans, and to overall be very knowledgeable fans.

I am knowledgeable, and respectful, but I take offense to somebody calling my tean Blow U.I didn't come on here trashing his team,he trashed mine. And the fact he is a Texas fan and not a K-State fan makes a little bit more sense now.Don't know why he would put K-State helmets up as his avatar tho if he's a Texas fan.

Now this is what Oklahoma fans get pissed about.  The BCS did not make up the rules that the big 12 fallows. It was made up by the big 12 and the coaches all voted it in. Yes even Mack Brown voted it in. The Sooners simply fallowed the rules. Mack wanted to change the rules when it didnt go his way. When that didnt work he went to bashing OU with that stupid sign waving. If the roles had been reversed i qauranty you that Stoops has enough class not to pull that crap.........

Everybody knows the BCS sucks and that we need a playoff! The best team in the big 12 was Texas and if it wasn't for 7 seconds and a lucky catch, OU would never of played Florida! OU got to the championship game by luck! As far as it goes for Stoops, if he don't win a big bowl game his butt is bye-bye!!! Oh and Oct. we will beat that A$$ again! Hook'em Horns!!!

Well I would like to point out that once again Texas fans are still crying about last year,
and  venting their anger about finishing under OU; a position they should be used to.
Well longhorns, its really sad that you still haven't learned to win the conference , much less
the 'big game'. Get used to being screwed, you've done it to yourself twice; SEEMS AS IF
YOU LIKE BEING 'SCREWED BY OU. So once again: ASSUME THE POSITION!!!!

Hey Shorthorn fan, does this look familiar?I'm sure you recognize it,it's the trophy that comes in the first week in December, you know, the one Bob Stoops has 6 of,and Mack Brown only has 1 of in his whole coaching career,it's called a conference championship trophy,or more specicifically,a Big 12 championship trophy.

Once again soonerfan509 has put up another classic post.  This one was especially good.  Mcoy shouldnt even be mentioned in the same sentence with Bradford.

if getting socially promoted means setting a new all time sroring record, then lets socially promote them.  maybe we will socially promote bradford another heisman. if it weren't for mcboys receivers he would have never even been close. before he adopted the teboesque im 1/2 qb 1/2 running back attitude he was ok at best.

notre dame are you kidding me. i can see the gators but, notre dame?  i respect tebow, but i still hate the gators . but i truly feel nothing but empathy for notre dame, ill say a prayer for them.

if you mean the big 12 title.  it was OU . some times its just hard to takr it all in at once, huh?

I cant stand that Tim *i am GOD* tebow. He is not a QB, he is a fullback.  I admit that he can run fairly tough but thats it.  If it wasnt for harvey tebow wouldnt have made a lot of his passes.

Mccoy is right up there with tebow.....they both suck.

Bradford is twice the QB as both of them put together.

This year it will be Bradford and a couple of good running backs going for the heisman. Of course Bradford will win it. Tebow and mccoy wont even be concidered this yr.
    #38 | 109 days ago

First off I have the utmost respect for the University of Florida. They have put together a resume second to no one in the last decade. Time will tell if they can maintain the level of excellence thay have attained. Secondly, Oklahoma and Texas "hate" but respect each other (not necessarily the fans but the coaches and players). Who really gives a damn what happened last year. Your team won a big game and lost one, that in the end cost you your shot at a title. As a result the "tie-breaker" rule (that had been in place since the formation of the conference) came into play of which OU was the beneficiary. If you want simpathy talk to an Ole Miss fan or a Texas Tech fan for that matter. That aside both schools represent the best of the Big 12 Conference. I don't mind the sniping and trash talk but lets wait 'tli October. As for the respective Quarterbacks? Tebow will be a high pick in the draft because of his versatility. Will he be an NFL QB? I sincerely doubt it. Most likely a team like the Dolphins that utilize a "wild hog" offense will pick him up because of all the options he can provide. McCoy should also be a prized draft pick. He has the skills and tools to be an NFL prototypical QB. Bradford, again a highly sought draft pick for any team looking for the prototype QB. Tall, strong, accurate and a fierce competitor. Back to the poll now. Considering the losses on the offensive line as a few receivers OU will be rebuilding but far from "down". Realistically do the Sooners have a shot at the title? If they get past October of course they do. And its the same story for Texas. They know if they can just get past OU they have a shot at the title (only last year they didn't give Tech their due respect). It might be wishful thinking but until someone beats them I'll pick Oklahoma to win it all every year, just like every good fan of (YOUR TEAM) does,

Lets get it out now. In most conferences or in college football one loss your title shoot is gone or if your bcs standing isn't high enough, or you didn't  play a strong enough schedule. There are alot of facts that play into get a national title shoot. If you look at the best conferences in college football you have the Big 12, Big 10, PAC 10, SEC, ACC and maybe the Big East, Conferences like the WCC, Mountain West, Conference USA and so on dont get the recognition that the big conferences get, that's why schools like OU,USC,LSU,Ohio State,P st,UF get the most recognition. I started this poll to see where OU Sooner fans would rate the teams finish this year not to have people start a riot about OU and Texas and Florida. I'm a OU fan and Florida was the better team that day last  year.Texas was the better team against OU last year but when UT faced TT it was TT who was better.Texas held there destiny in there hands and lost it. OU need a large win verse TT to get back in the chance and did it by 20 points over TT. Bottom line is all the teams are great, that's why we are fans and we all think are teams are the best. But lets keep the trash out and remember its a game that we love and nothing comes from trashing another team.

Hey soonerfan509, thats fine "big game Stoops" has more big 12 titles. But my question is how many BCS games have you won recently??? 0... forget big game stoops, he cant win the medium sized games (BYU, Miami for example and if you want more let me know cause i can keep going).
