NBA first, then NHL, then NFL and finally MLB.  I am 60 years old and expect to see all 4 overseas before I die.

NBA because I think its cheaper to make an Arena then it is to make an Stadium which is what would be needed to make an NFL,  and MLB teams. MLB will be the next sport to make it over seas.  I see a Major league team in the far east in 20 years with both the NBA being Popular and the MLB also being Popular in the Mid East. Hockey just doesn't have enough money to do so but then again if a NBA team creates an Arena then NHL can sign with the Arena the NBA created. And really world wide Football isn't even the popular.  They would have to find a playing system to cut down travel cost MLB would most likly have Three Leagues AL,NL and IL something like that.

Figure with the NFL, teams would only have to travel 8 times a year instead of 40 some with the two other sports.. I just think that would give it a slight advantage..But then again i dont think the NFL has to expand or will expand for quite some time. So in retrospect  I should pick the NBA.

i picked the NBA it's already very international. they have players from all over Europe playing here. y not let some of those guys go back home to play a game here and there? i would say the NHL but hockey leagues (KHL) r already developed overseas. these league wouldn't appreciate that move very much. yes, there are basketball leagues in Europe but nothing to special. all their players wanna play for the NBA. the NFL would be a good candidate but i don't see them developing anymore. especially since they may have a possibility of an uncapped year next year. they have too many problems on their hands for now.

NBA in Europe has already been discussed. NFL fails miserably anytime it tries to go to Europe. NHL can barely sustain itself south of Michigan. The MLB is arguably the most popular world wide but mainly in poorer countries that might not be able to support a team, plus Selig is a narrow minded idiot and I would imagine Stern sees the bigger picture better than him.

The nfl because the season has only 16 games right now. Teams can make the trips np and with the new team playing 2 games in a row on the road no biggie with travel. In baseball it would be monumental task with travel as well as the other sports.

Its going to be a rough deal for the NFL shortly the Big Team owners don't wanna pay the Little Owners  anymore so its gonna crush football if they don't keep there Collective Bargaining thing do that allot of team will not have to money to even keep the teams they have.

The NBA is already talking about a European team.  Within 5 years, there will be at least two.

Definitely hockey, probably basketball. They both have shorter schedules over longer periods of time, so the travel and jet lag will be easier on those teams & players.

The NFL season is so finite, teams that go to London are given their bye week just to recover from the trip. Same for MLB. Unless they put teams in Canada or the Caribbean (Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba?), the logistics will either kill the players or the World Series will end in January - just in time for Spring Training!
