Everything Ty said in his blog sounds great.  I'm looking forward to the changes because they sound exciting and challenging.  I love a challenge!  I like the idea of the daily fantasy;and "Q" bucks sounds interesting too.  I chose other because I understand what has been stated so far.  Questions are bound to come once we get started.  Just like the new changes so far, we will always have questions until we get the hang of it!

Thanks to all the "Q" staff for their hard work on this.  I know it wasn't an easy "row to hoe" getting this all together.  (Had to throw in the country humor).  Keep up the good work!

 yes like our kids going back to school,having butterflys in their stomach is what best describe what i am feeling,I have only been on the Q for a month or so,so i am looking forward to the change,to be able to call out someone to have a contest is a great idea, which should build comraderie amongst the members......and then being able to post the upset of people like Scott(sorry Scott) by me is almost like the story of David and Golitah......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

 I know nothing  about fantasy games.   None of it is exciting to me.  I only do a little trivia and quizzes and try to answer most polls in the locker room, if these are  going to be changing, guess i will be moving on.

So Jess, Cash games? We have to put IN real cash, or we can convert Q Bucks into small amounts of cash and then bet those?

We'll still have trivia and quizzes, as well as polls. We won't be doing quantity awards for creation anymore (this will hopefully promote more QUALITY in there), but people will be receiving weekly awards for points earned. :)

Respect is Season Two’s version of Thumbs Up. If other fans think your contribution is high quality, they can give you respect. Each fan is limited to giving out 10 respect per day (2 to one user) to ensure that respect only goes to the very best contributions that day. Respect you receive for your team contributions count towards your team rankings.

2. To my knowledge, daily trophies will no longer be given, but there will be more types of weekly trophies:
Season Two will have two types of trophies for weekly games.

You can win a trophy for being a top fan of your team that week (ranked 1-3 in the weekly team rankings). You can win a trophy for being a top game player that week (ranked in the top 10 for trivia, quizzes, pick’em, or prediction polls). Trophies are displayed in your profile.

As for fan rankings of your favorite teams; those will start over as well. I know, I know - TRUST ME, I truly understand how much work it takes to achieve a certain rank for your team. You don't have to tell me how deflating it is to find out that it will all start over.

However, the way you will earn points toward your team ranking will be much less complicated in Season Two. We are really focusing on quality and contributions this season. We want the best of the best content on the site, and you'll get more points toward your team rank the more you contribute to their pages.

Your profile will have an area called "Season 1" stats where you will see your ranking for your favorite teams if you were ranked. 

Once we start Season 2, everyone will start at 0 contributions for their team and 0 respect (and so un-ranked in Season 2).  As you add contributions and get respect you will start getting ranked (both weekly and overall for your favorite teams). 

I'm a LOT more excited about the new changes coming than I am bummed about losing my team ranking. I know I'll get it back - and I have no doubt that if you guys have achieved what you have, you'll be able to earn yours back in no time too...especially if you contribute to their pages :)

OK - yes we will have to put IN real cash in order to win cash. We won't be able to convert Q Bucks into small amount of cash, but you will be able to make strictly Q Bucks wagers.

I believe more in practicals than in hypothetical concepts or theory perceptions.

I love to wait and watch and then after getting accustomed to the new atmosphere and the ambience at that given time, when I feel all start understanding facts, I like to take a step forward.  I want my queries to wait until then, please.

So please excuse me at the current moment and I will surely love to be a part of the new season as and when I find how absorbing it is for me and for all too. 

However, I do wish success to this new venture and laud you and your team for all the efforts you have put in to get it going on a platter for the fans of the Q.

You'll lose your current rank, but you will have a stat on your profile that shows what your Season One rank was.

You will have both weekly ranks and Season Two ranks for your team. Meaning, your Season ranking for your team will be tracked but we will also have weekly ranks. We've already had this system, it just hasn't been prominent on the site.

Trivia and quizzes will still be here.

Completely understandable, Sadmar - and I will be posting another poll when this goes live for people to give feedback as well.

One thing that we really wanted to do was kind of ease people into this new HUGE change on the site so it wasn't a kick in the head when they log in right after we implement it. This just gets a few things out of the way so people will at the very least not be going into it blind.

Ahhh this is exciting! Of course I'm not super-high-ranked but it will be nice, having just come on in the past six months, to level the playing field and see how we can compete head-to-head from the zero point. After all, I was going to be stuck as the #2 Colorado Rockies fan as I could never catch Spartymon ;) And I kind of like the limits on "Respect," that way you can't just give a "Smart" to a one-word comment, for example, or you wouldn't want to.  *does a happy dance*  I've said for so long that it should be quality over quantity and that's what is finally happening.  I'm excited for Season 2, and can't wait to see how much the quality improves because of the new system.  To anyone who is upset about losing the thumbs up, respect is basically the same thing but WITHOUT THE PQ!  That's another welcome sight, you won't be able to be childish and hit the PQ button anymore just because you disagreed with somebody.  Things they are a-changin' and I know they're changing for the better!

Many of us, self included, spend the vast majority of our time trolling the Locker Room.  Is there any thoughts going into creating a similar "Leader Board" based solely on participation in the Locker Room?

I know there will be "respect", which I really like how y'all set up ... is there something else in the works?  (Hopefully I'm not re-asking something you've been asked over and over)

I'm actually not sure about that. I do know that quizzes and trivia have the separate leader boards for the Locker Room that don't count toward the sports side of things. I will have more of an answer to this as we roll out the team page(s) for the locker room fully - which is soon :)

I actually meant to click reply, not respect that comment.  The PQ was never used properly.  It was supposed to be used for inappropriate comments, not because you disagreed with someone.

When someone gets PQ'd, you know why. You don't need to think hard or research deeply to figure it out. How often do you see quality, undebatable posts get PQ'd? Also, you don't get penalized FanIQ points or anything of any kind of value when someone PQ's a post of yours. It is not a big deal to get PQ'd. I'd rather get PQ'd by someone for a reason that I can easily guess than have a meaningless argument with someone.

And are you seriously blaming the school system for someone that wants to avoid conflict rather than spend time arguing and not getting anywhere with someone on the internet, kind of like how we're doing here? Did you go to private school? Do you think you're better than everyone else? I don't, and I went to private school from Kindergarten through graduation of high school.  dammit i wasted another effing respect.  There was a rule on how to properly use it.  It was to be used for posts that violated the code of conduct so that the person who violated the code of conduct could be properly dealt with.  It was never intended to be a "disagree" or "dislike" button.

 I'm not sure the pq rule would be listed anywhere since it is no longer available on the site.  The whole site has been revamped since season two, so there have been subtractions to the different areas of the site.  It didn't affect points or rankings.  And alot of people would like a disagree or dislike button.  Hopefully this will be something considered for the site.

You just said it, voicing their opinion.  Using a button to "disagree" isn't voicing your opinion, it's hiding behind a little red button.  If you disagree, tell someone.  PQing a post because you disagreed was immature.  People CAN disagree and have debates in a civil manner.  I don't see why the PQ should still be on the site, it was a nuisance to have.  Now we have the "flag" link which is to be used for inappropriate comments.  That's what the PQ was supposed to be for.  If we had a disagree button, it would say "disagree."  PQ stood for "poor quality."  Just because you disagreed with what someone said did not make it "poor quality," which is why it is rightfully gone from the Q now.

 I'm not sure the pq rule would be listed anywhere since it is no longer available on the site.  The whole site has been revamped since season two, so there have been subtractions to the different areas of the site.  It didn't affect points or rankings.  And alot of people would like a disagree or dislike button.  Hopefully this will be something considered for the site.
FanIQ does not have Levels anymore and the points system is completely different, yet http://www.faniq.com/point_info.php still exists as if it's season one. So as I said before, since that link still exists, I have no reason to believe that there have been any subtractions and I still have yet to see where this rule of how to "properly" use the PQ is or was.

And kramer, that's where you and I are different. You want all disagreements to be posted and I am fine with people having a conflict-free way of showing that they disagree. And l'll repeat myself since you keep trying to tell me what the PQ is supposed to be used for (even though none of you have produced a copy of this rule or guideline). It is a good thing that people used the PQ the way they did, the way that anyone wanted to. It had no actual effect on anyone. You can stop telling me what the PQ was for or what it was supposed to mean when everyone used it for different purposes and nowhere was there any guideline for using it.

Still arguing this one?  Obviously the pq button isnt here any longer, so there have been subtractions from thesite.

4 PQs hid a comment.  That is why people used it incorrectly.  Comments should not be hidden just because someone disagreed with them.  Now do you see why the PQ was a mistake to have?

And kramer, the PQ wasn't a mistake to have, hiding comments once they received 4 PQs was the mistake. How about improving the system with changes and not subtractions?

  PQing comments because you disagreed is cowardly and immature, and it's because of that immaturity that the PQ is no longer on this site, and that is the truth.
