My 'favorite' song can change during the day, can't nail it down to just one song.

There are far too many to list them all or to say one specific.... here a couple of my favorites in different categories

Rock/ R & B - Texas Flood - Stevie Ray Vaughn
Rock - Southbound Suarez - Led Zepplin
Alternative - Save the Day - Train or any Shinedown song.....
Southern Rock - Statesboro Blues - Allman Brothers

And the list could go on and on..... thinking of changing some of my list already!

Truthfully

There is no better song to me than God Bless America - I love it when the local Triple-A baseball team plays it EVERY 7th inning stretch. They show the pictures of current servicemen and women on the jumbotron, and it sjust earth-shaking to hear people singing it with heart.

There are lots of other songs that I love to hear - but that is my favorite.

Imagine by John Lennon.  Beautiful song that lays out simply and perfectly his philosophy.

The other is Gimme Shelter by the Stones.  A bit different from Imagine, but to me is unforgettable.

Tim McGraw - Live Like you were dying. In honor of my little sister struck down before she had the honor of having grand kids, these are some powerful words and the video rocks. We take life for granted everyday. We worry about what might happen in the next days without realizing we could not be here in a few days! Honor yourself and friends Live today without regrets, be happy and always remember to say I love you to your family, friends and your enemies heck it might not matter tomorrow!

Man just one is hard, but "Lose Yourself" by Eminem. I've been there in front of a lot of people following somebody who really had a lot of experience & talent ( I wasn't rapping or singing) and I was terrified even tho I wanted to do it so much. I can still remember my clammy, shaky hands, my queezy stomach, etc.

I completely agree.  It's very emotional especially when you know someone who has served our great country ... like my Dad.

Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin or One by U2. Even though I've heard these songs thousands of times, they remain at the top of my long list of favorites.

Stairway rules! The guitar progression is taken from this song from 1968 by an awesome band called Spirit.

I like a lot of songs from different genres but if I have to pick one, I'd have to say "Babe" by Styx because it was number 1 on the charts when my wife and I got married and it was right after I completed basic training.

My mom grew up in love with Elvis, and that continues today. I learned to appreciate Elvis, and his music. Elvis is the greatest performer the music industry has ever seen.

My #1 Elvis cut is Suspicious Minds...it is pure VEGAS ELVIS, at his very best.

God Bless you Blondie. My sister passed away this spring at the age of 36, leaving a husband, and three children  7 and under. She was the youngest of five siblings, and my mother has been truly devestated by the loss of her only daughter. After the passing of our sister, the Pastor who had been with the family for the entire duration heard a song on the radio, and called my brother, and said that he believed this song was meant for our sister...Cissy's Song, by Alan Jackson.

If you have ever lost a sister, wife, girlfriend, mother, or just any one who you loved, listen to this song. It was a true blessing to our family, and i think of my sister, now in heaven with our father, every single time i hear this song.
