Late to bed, early to rise!

I love mornings!  So peaceful, it's great to have a little time to myself, then be there to greet my boys as they get up one by one.

My middle child once asked me if I ever slept, because he always went to bed before me, and was awake after me.  Of course I told him, no, I never sleep, it's one of my many super powers....

I have always been a morning person. I'll tell my kids don't wake me up i'm sleeping in, they laugh cause to me thats maybe 7:00.But I do not see how people can sleep til 12 or 1 in the afternoon that just amazes me!
#5 | 1640 days ago

i crash somewhere between midnight and 1 most nights, and usually up  at 7.  I guess a little of both.  Not that i prefer that.

I burn the midnight oil when I can because it is the most peaceful time in our house. The kids are the ultimate early risers, so I couldn't have morning quiet time if I wanted it. As the kids and work wear me out more and more, I'm quickly finding out why my dad would end his days asleep during the evening news.

My wife and I rotate weekend mornings, so one of us gets to sleep in. Today it's my turn to get up which means the kids destroy the house and each other while I sleepwalk through the Q.

I was raised in Omaha and visited family this past weekend. I had forgotten what a ghost town it is during game time. Sorry your squad had such an ugly game.

I'm both.  I will stay up until 1 or 2 am but I still get up early.  However, I do enjoy and afternoon nap!

ok I gotta ask why 3:44 why not 3:45 (you knew someone was going to ask)
#13 | 1640 days ago

I wake up a little early in the morning because the study part also has to be looked after...similarly go to bed a little late....but the sleeping hours are compensated for in the afternoon...so the count never drops below 6-7 hours..

When we lived there 7 years ago my wife (who's wasn't a fan) would do her shopping during the Nebraska game because the stores would be nearly empty.

And what game are you speaking of?

Sorry, it must have been an inter-squad scrimmage.

My family moved there before I was born, but I grew up rooting against them. Notre Dame had Gerry Faust and the Huskers had Tom Osborne. Needless to say, I took my lumps.

Not a chance. I would extend the offer to you to do the same. We've had Davie to O'Leary (briefly) to Willingham to Weis. Between the Solich and Callahan debacles, who's had it worse over the past fifteen years? The Irish or Huskers?
