What's for Dinner?

So, I gave in to my craving yesterday. For dinner I made smothered pork chops and chicken, rice, lima beans, and biscuits. But today, i want nothing and need inspiration. So, what are you having for dinner tonight?

Stewed chicken and sausage, it is a cool and dreary day and that is my comfort food!

The longer it simmers the better it tastes!

Dredge the chicken in the seasoned flour, coating each side completely. Add the oil to the Crock-Pot, over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add the chicken. Turn to brown the chicken on all sides. Cook until evenly browned, 5 to 6 minutes. Add the sausage, stir and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Add the onions. Season with salt and cayenne. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Add the bay leaves, garlic and chicken stock. Cover the Crock-Pot and cook for 3 hours, or until the chicken is tender. Stir in the green onions. Re-season if necessary.

Enough chicken broth to cover everything in the crock pot, and stir occasionally.

Serve over rice or with biscuts and honey....

Then enjoy!!

i'm trying. I have a kid now so i figured i should start so she can eat at a decent hour and not have to wait for me to come home, search the freezers, take 30 min to decide, thaw it out, and then cook. I'm trying to be a grown up like my parents. They take dinner out at 7 oclock in the morning.
