Don't count out the Steelers just yet. they r making a nice run after a roller coaster beginning. they just beat a undefeated team. if Denver stays undefeated till next week, they will have another shot at putting another undefeated team down.

the Giants have lost their last 2 but i look for them to find a way to get this thing back on track.

the Pats r the Pats. they will stay competitive.

the Bengals r still a bit unproven. they play the Steelers once more and this could decide the AFC North Division.

Out of these teams, I HAVE to go with the Steelers.....  The Patriots have looked good the last two weeks, but lets be honest, the two teams they beat up on are a combined 0-13 on the season. The Bengals have played some very close games- but don't look dominant. And the Giants could very well be 4-3, (a big Pass interference call gave them a shot at a last second field goal),  in a game when the Cowboys ran all over that defense with 251 yards rushing!

For the first time in I can't remember how long, 3 teams may actually have a shot at the AFC North title.

O.K; that STILL doesn't make the Giants the best 5-2 Team in the NFL!  And when the Eagles beat the G-Men on Sunday, the Giants WON'T be the best team in the NFC East either- they will be the THIRD best team behind those Cowboys and Eagles! LOL  BTW, good luck to your G-Men on Sunday!          Oh yea, forgot to tell you- the new Cowboys Stadium is called the DEATHSTAR!  Remember that name- LOL

I have no idea how anyone could justify putting the Steelers ahead of the Bengals right now.

lol, you made a poll JUST to include the Steelers. BTW, you left off the Cowboys.

How 'bout them Cowboys.

Of cource you still won!!! Which side would you take if you were a referee, the largest city in the united states, or a place were Gorge Bush lives. It's funny how your "great" team has to rely on a bad call to beat us.

Well, the Bengals just lost the leading sack man for the year, and the Steelers just got Polamalu back...that's enough to flip flop them IMO. That and the Bengals were beaten, had Limas Sweed learned that his job is to catch the ball....Give me Polamalu in that game and the Bengals never convert that 4th down...Troy is good for a pick a game against his old roomie.

Sorry, that is my reasoning.

It kills me to put the Steelers first on this list, but realistically I think that is the way it is..... I would love to put the Pats first on the list but I will reserve that judgement until after the next couple of weeks..... Giants just aren't very strong and Manning is not 100% so I think you will see the Giants continue to slide backwards.....

STEELERS WITHOUT A DOUBT. LISTEN THEY REALISTICALY COULD HAVE BEEN 7-0 AND THEY JUST KNOCKED OFF ONE OF THE BEST TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE! NEW ENGLAND IS RIGHT UP THERE BUT I STILL THINK THAT NE DEF IS QUESTIONABLE. AND THERE OFFENSE IS PLAYING GOOD BUT REALLY THEY HAVE JUST WHUPPED A COUPLE OF TOMATOE CAN TEAMS AND THATS IT. THE BENGALS AND GIANTS THEY ARE A TOSS UP. GIANTS ARE REALLY ON A BACKWARD SKID AND MANNING IN ALL LIKELYHOOD IS NOT 100% PALMER HAS LOOKED GOOD BUT I AM STILL NOT SOLD!
#16 | 24 days ago

Steelers well they are the defending champs. They have a solid lineup. Yinz know this pro bowl TE Heath Miller? Defense will have a strong second half.

Patriots You can never count Brady out. Im no so sure about the supporting cast though.

Giants Wounded Manning and young receivers. I think the are a wild card team.

Bengals I dunno i never pass up a chance to knock on the Bungs but i think the are also a legit wild card team. But based on history alone I have to vote them the worst 5-2

I could tell you so many reasons the Bengals should be ahead of the Steelers. To start the Bengals beat the Steelers head to head. Yes you can say because of the injury to Polamalu or whatever you want but they still WON. Also they both beat the Ravens and Browns but the Bengals beat down the Bears and the Steelers, not so much.

You realize the Bengals could be 7-0 as well.  The only game they weren't in was the Houston game, not sure what happened there.  And they destroyed the Bears who beat the Steelers.

There's no definitive answer to this question just yet.  Seriously Kramer, you think the Bengals aren't as good as an NFC team?  Outside of the Saints and Vikings the NFC is still terrible.

And the Cowboys could be 7-0 as well- what's the point!   The Cowboys lost to the Broncos and Giants by a TOTAL of 9 points! In BOTH games- it was one play and one mistake that cost them the game!  The point is that ANY of the 5-2 teams listed (and a few more not listed) "could be"  the BEST 5-2 team in the NFL right now...... As far as your Bengals argument and how the NFC is terrible, I would put the Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Falcons, Packers, and maybe even the Cardinals up against them RIGHT NOW- and I firmly believe that the Bengals would be hard pressed to win against ANY of those teams.....

Well, they already beat the Packers and they destroyed the Bears so I'm not seeing your logic there.  Of the teams you listed the Falcons are probably the best so...bring it on!!

Also, the Cardinals just lost to the Panthers, and the Giants have been exposed as frauds who just benefited from an easy early schedule. I'd be confident in the Bengals' ability to beat either one of them.

really, the Falcons are the BEST of those teams I listed? LOL   The Cowboys DESTROYED the Falcons or maybe you missed that game.... I will still stand by what I said- ANY one of those 5-2 teams could very well be the BEST......

I took this poll before Philly embarrassed the Giants for their 3rd straight loss, and after the Bengals' cardiac method caught up to them against the Texans.  If I had taken this poll AFTER this past weekend's games I probably wouldn't have put the Giants ahead of them.  That said, the AFC North is going to be a crapshoot the way it looks right now, I can easily see the Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals all splitting their series with one another.

I think its funny so many people put Patriots first!Just because they can beat up on some weak teams dont make them great!thier lucky to be 5-2 they did lose to LOL the JETS!!!And come on!!!!the ravens really won that game.Tom Brady's sissy a**  can tell the refs when to throw a flag!I can keep going but the pats are NOT the team they used to be!They will CHOKE in the playoffs if they can manage to get there. But the do have the refs to help them .

The Steelers are more balanced on offence the NE and the defense can win games for them as well, Ne D just tries to keep them in games. Cinci is still learning how to win as a marked team now and the Giants are falling apart due to injuries on D.
