I largely keep quiet among all the shouting and whining and finger pointing mostly because I have nothing to add. But, it seems to me, without the Bold/Funny/Smart or some version of those, they've taken away the easiest ways to let people know what you thought of their contributions. I identify like minds on the Q through the accolades I receive (however few). I think a lot of us really like the recognition of an accolade, if you want to call it that, and many of us might have worked to get them.  It was very easy to click on Bold/Funny/Smart as a tip of the cap to someone. Without those buttons and a cap on ten "respects", I wonder if many of us might start to wonder if our comments are falling on deaf ears. I may not have a meaningful reply for someone who adds to a thread, but it's nice to give them an accolade when it strikes a chord. The alternative now seems to be a typed reply of "What you said was funny", "I agree", "You make me laugh" which I try to avoid since it just clogs up a thread. Unless I feel I'm going to add something new, clever, or smart, I'd rather reply with an accolade than some bland reply. I've seen at least 20 funny comments today and quite a few I thought were smart. I don't know if points need to be awarded for accolades, but the function was a quick way to let people know you agreed with them w/out typing a meaningless comment.

Don't worry everyone. There will be ways for you to earn QBucks without having to pay for them. We will have more details on that in the future. Plus you can win more daily in the FanIQ QBucks lottery. Welcome to Season 2, where I will wreck all of you in Fantasy. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Yes everyone, if you gave thumbs up earlier today, that regrettably counted as "RESPECT" even though we didn't have respect yet. Tomorrow, you will all have 10 RESPECTS to give. And that will be the same every day. 10 RESPECTS to give out each day.

This "Respect control" reminds me very much of what a wise man named Chris Rock once said...

You don’t need no gun control. We need some bullet control. I think all bullets should cost $5,000. If a bullet cost $5,000, there’ll be no more innocent bystanders. Every time somebody gets shot it’ll be like, “Man, he must have done something. S***, they put $50,000 worth of bullets in his ass.”

Also you can't get to somebody's photo album by clicking on their profile picture anymore.
You now have to scroll down on the Bio page to find it and it's very small and an easy-miss.

This adjustment is going to be really tough on us stalkers.

I find my locker room friends hilarious and smart, and sometimes bold... but the only thing I respect is my mother and other smart women.. no offense to all the others
The accolades were a way of finding people who thought along the same lines or had the same interests or sense of humor... I got on here a half hour ago and I completely despise the respect thing.. I understand it helps "control" cliques and people having fun, but frankly sir, it's garbage.
Everything else seems pretty fantastic though

I am trying to give this a chance before I bolt. I am unsure about it and approaching it cautiously. I don't understand the point of the Q bucks at this point and think the 10 respect limit is dumb. I didn't even read all the post in this thread, I am sure that I could use all 10 of my respects in this poll alone. But it would leave me without any for the rest of the day. So once I am out of respects I might as well log off the Q for the day.
