But, there is evidence to support your case but the accused is not the only accomplice.

Something had to be done about quality.  There is way too much poor quality content in the LR and other areas of the site.  Limiting accolades seems to be one of the ways the site is doing this.  Kind of makes you think a little more about what your posting.

The other problem is the offensive content.  People TU each other like crazy for saying crude things.  Which breeds more crude activity.

Point is, the gutter mentality leads to offensive and combative behavior.

So if limiting accolades limits this kind of behavior, I'm all for it.

However, I'm not letting them completely off the hook.  This site has loads of content.  An hour on this site, you could have viewed literally thousands of submissions.  So why 10 respects?

Here's an idea, since the concept is respect breeds quality, why not reward people who get respect with more respect to give?  For example, if I receive 5 'respects', reward me with 2 more to give....

Just a thought.

True.  I agree that the pq wasn't a good solution for that purpose, but it seemed to create more problems.

The only problem I saw before Season 2 was the PQ button, honestly.  I think they should have changed that to "disagree" and carried on with business as usual.

Also, not a fan AT ALL of the 10 per day Respect thing.  Like I've said before, I think there are FAR too many smart and funny people on here to limit myself to just 10.  I could use that up easily in one poll with all the comments that are clever and witty and well thought-out!  I understand that some people were throwing accolades out just because they liked someone, but I think most of us were pretty fair and generous with giving them to everyone equally.  I don't think it should have been "fixed", because quite frankly, it wasn't broken to begin with.

I do like the gifts you can buy each other with the Q-Bucks ... lord knows that's all I'm likely to use the Q-Bucks on since I'm a complete tool when it comes to Fantasy Leagues.  I'd be that sucker that all the Q Fantasy-sharks will flock to like fresh chum.    I'd be broke in 14.3 minutes and I refuse to buy more Q-Bucks (girl's got bills to pay)!  lol

Only 20% for now...... of course for people like you Scott... one of the winners of the Q lottery (akin to life's lottery) and you get so many respects..... it is only right that we spread some of your "respect" wealth around.  How is it fair that you get all that respect and some poor poster that get's no respect has to sit here and suffer!  I think they will need to spread the respect around and you will not only be limited to giving out 10 respects.... my guess is you will be limited to the amount of respect you can earn.... perhaps a "respect cap" should be set so that you can't get more then 10 "respects" per day and if you do EARN over 10 then they will be taken away from you and given to a less fortunate person on the Q!
Guilty.

How about mediation instead?

I will bring about a public meeting on the Q at a set date and time (to be announced at a later date) and perhaps we can all come to a mutually acceptable agreement.

It sure would be better than a public lynching!

Yes they will!  It is only fair.... not everyone is created with equal "respect" so it's important for those "less fortunate" when it comes to respect to be taken care of..... if you don't want to share your glutinous amount of "respect" that you have earned, obviously you are just an uncaring, bigot who only thinks of himself!

Overcome "respect" discrimination!

I am lobbying for an "equal opportunity respect" rule that will require you to save some of your "respect" votes for people on the "Q" who feel they are entitled to "respect" even though they don't contribute in an equal way.....  I vote for "hope and change" in this obviously unfair "respect" system!
