I would have to say Ali for what he overcame, and I also have to mention Jessie Owens who beat the Nazi Party who were trying to use the games to tell the world it's political ideals, but he won four gold medals and was the star of the Olympics

Ali is the most recognizable sports figure in the world...whether you went to a remote village in South America or a busy Helsinki street they would know who Muhammad Ali was.
