On Saturday, one week before the mega showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto, there are two pretty good fights. In one, the WBA World Heavyweight Championship is on the line when the huge (7 foot, 325 pound) Russian Giant Nikolai Valuev (50-1, 34 KOs) defends his title against former Cruiserweight champ David Haye (22-1, 21 KOs). Haye is known as a big talker, but his backed it up, mostly, and a lot of people like him to be able to upset Valuev. And if he does it means a part of the Heavyweight championship will be wrested from the Russians.

In another good fight, we have the anticipated rematch between reigning champion Chad Dawson (28-0, 17 KOs) and former champion Glen Johnson (49-12-2, 33 KOs). Dawson is the IBF Light Heavyweight (175 lbs) champion and in their first fight Dawson defeated Johnson in a 12 round, all action fight that was one of the best of that year. But many people, including one of the judges, felt that Johnson deserved a draw. So here we are, set to do it again and see who the better man is.

Obviously Johnson is the more experienced fighter, but Dawson is younger and I think better this time than he was the first time around.
