*Win/Loss* NFL PICK THE WINNERS WEEK 9 : Game 12-13 (Edited 11/07/09 02:18PM by RichyMcWiggleSr)
(Sorry about getting this out so late)
*Pick the Winners*
As I mentioned in last weeks polls, the competition for the un-honorary title of Q-Fan Expert is now underway, whether you want it to be or not.
Rules are simple: Pick the winners for each week! Instead of competing for the "Weekly Title" like we did during the first 8 Weeks of the Regular Season, we are now competing for the Overall Season. Since I didn't start the season with this in mind, the competition will only include your picks for Weeks 9 and on. If I get quick at scoring I'll still post the Weekly Winner and Overall Leader (<~~~ We'll see though .... considering I have to score 3 polls to find the one leader it gets very time consuming!!)
Tiebreakers: I made a small change to the tiebreaker. The tiebreaker for each week is based on the Total Points Scored on Monday Night. The one who picks closest wins, UNLESS two people are tied again (ie. two people are both off by 4 points), than they will simply share the title.
PLAYOFFS:
That's right. I love Playoffs! So the Pickem Challenge will continue in two fashions
1. The Top 20 of the Season, with 5 Wildcards from the first 8 Weeks, will be invited to compete against each other for the FanIQ Pickem Bowl Championship!
2. Everyone else will compete along side them to accrue S*** talking rights! Lets face it, we all most of us love to!
The Playoff Version of this will be slightly different, and it will be a two-part Poll Series. Each Win/Loss will add to your total for the season, but for each game you will also have to pick the Total Points Scored in the game, in another poll (because I can't put a tiebreaker on every question .... otherwise I'd condense it to one poll).
Your accuracy in the points scored polls will be tracked and it will accrue into a Total Point value. Lowest total points, or most accurate point guesser, is what I'll be looking for.
So one poll will have the scoring of the Wins and Losses, and the other Poll will have the "Scores." <~~~~In the title of the poll I'll put a designator, as I did for this one "*Win/Loss*" so you will know the difference.
*****How that works:
Pretend for a minute that San Diego is playing Oakland in the Wildcard Round [pausing to laugh] and you pick Oakland to win and in the other poll you pick a point total of 50 [laughing again] ... after the game I score the polls and post that San Diego won and the point total for both teams was 32. You would have one more L in the loss column, and your Score would be 18 <~~~ For that one game.
If you don't pick the points, you will automatically get the Highest Points Total +1, for that particular poll.
