I guess it depends on who I am studying?

I really think it depends on the situation. I enjoyed it immensely.

It was right for me about two mortgages, two kids, six student loans, one auto loan, and two pay-cuts ago.

I should have gone in college. I would have loved it, but I was two much of a wuss to cough up the extra cost.

Sorry to disappoint you, Scott, I just saw this poll now.  Yes, study abroad was right for me.  I enjoyed studying them in Europe, France specifically, for 4 months.

In all seriousness though, I absolutely loved the experience, and if you have the chance, DO IT!

Studing  broads is  just not right for me, unless there is money in it.

I would have like the experience to study in London or Paris and yes I know that would have been a good advantage given the chance.

Well, I did study in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia ... to me, that was quite a foreign land.
