Do you think if on a kickoff you kick it through the uprights you should get points?
Many NFL kickers have the leg strength to get it to the goalposts on kickoffs. Should they get credit? It would definitely get kickers more money. What is your take?

The farther away it is, the better you'd have to be, but it's the same kick each time, barring penalties. I think it should be 2 points.

I don't think a team should receive points if their kicker does that, but it sure looks cool when it happens...

No, because when you kickoff- you are giving the ball back to the other team! Why should you be rewarded for that?

Not to mention you are using a T and there is no defense rushing at you.  But yes, it is very cool!!

Why not give the Kickers something to try for. Hell if you touch a QB you get penalized. The Kickers need some kind of excitement besides a last second Field goal.

Kickers need to kick, that is their job. If you don't like your job, quit. You make the excitement in your job, not outside influences. Now if you are trying to add excitement for he fan, that's different but I don't want something remotely resembling Arena football in the NFL.

How about a touchback?

I wouldn't mind if that happened, but I am against it.

Maybe not points, but instead of a standard touchback starting at the 20, make the other team start at their own 1 if the kicker manages that. Now that would be incentive!

HECK no! As it is kicking points need to be restricted...I'm happy as a lark that kickers as a whole have struggled this season...it's about the muscle and brains on the field getting their team into the END ZONE.
