A Fairy Tale, by FanIQ....
So the Huskerfan family was sitting around the dinner table last night, and the subject of Santa Clause came up.  At the end we were all giggling, my 11 year old was in tears from laughing.

What happened was my 5 year old was describing where Santa Clause lived, he didn't have the story exactly right, so in order to help him out, I gave him some additional information... from another fairy tale.  By the time the story was done, Santa had stolen Christmas (Grinch), lived with 7 dwarfs (snow white), saved a princess in a castle (Shrek) and sought out to find his precious ring, only to meet his death in the fiery pits of Mordor (Lord of the Rings).

The 5 year old, very seriously, looked at me and asked, "Did Santa really fall into the hot lava?".  This is where we all lost it.  Sure, the 5 year old is probably scarred for life, but we had a blast.

So I thought we'd try to harness the creative juices of the Q membership.  Your task is to be a link in a fairy tale about.... whatever.  The only rule is (besides the CoC) you must take a story theme from a known story which also must be considered a 'Fairy Tale'.   Use the "reply to comment" so we know who where you're continuing from.

The story starts out "Once upon a time, there was a ______________"

You take it from there, have fun.

But then Gandalf and Dumbledore walked in and together pointed their staffs at tall black scary guy, and his armor and helmet flew off to reveal him to be actually The Big Bad Wolf in disguise again. Then Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey flew in with their Dragon and rescued Hansel & Gretel from the scary house and carried them back to the Magical Kingdom of the Q where they lived happily ever after under the benevolent rule of Queen Jess and Her Court.

They had 3 daughters, but Cinderella was the only one who cared about people so we don't care what the names of her stepsisters were.

...there was a red headed girl who loved walking in woods. She would gather berries, pine cones, fruit and wild flowers... All the small creatures followed her on her walks and playfully darted all around her... She was very happy and loved her walks in the woods.... One day while on her walk, she went a different direction and it was deep in the woods.... She walked past a cave in the rocks and a big bad wolf leaped out of the cave and the red headed girl was never seen again.
