MJD, of the Jags took a knee at the one, ran the clock down and kicked a field goal to win instead of a sure TD, with time left on the clock, gutsy or have they never heard of a field goal that might be blocked?

WHAT WAS THE OVER/UNDER IN THAT GAME? hmmmmmm   The was a completely STUPID thing to do! What happens if the Holder drops the snap (ala Tony Romo -vs- Seattle)? Or what if the Kicker misses it?  I smell something wrong with this!

The over/under, are you serious.? Jack Del Rio, and the Jaguars are thinking about winning the game, not the point spread, or anything else involved with Vegas. How ridiculous a statement.

I love the move, Josh Scobee is one of the leagues most overrated kickers, he is as clutch as they come in big game situations. The Jags had already allowed to big catches to a hot Braylon Edwards in the half, would have taken my chances with the field goal that was extra point length.

Not a ridiculous statement at all! In fact, it's a VERY VALID question!  If MJD takes one more step forward- it's a Touchdown and the Jags win the game! Instead he takes a knee and puts the game in the hands of a long snapper, a holder, and a kicker?  Yea right Bro!  I have NEVER seen ANY NFL PLAYER not attempt to score the game winning TD if they had the chance! Brian Westbrook took a knee at the 1 yard line against Dallas when he could have scored but the EAGLES were winning the game at the time and that 1st down was the game ender!

True. I thought it was a little bit of a head-scratcher. I actually thought they'd run off some clock and run a QB sneak or something.

Oops ... that's a typo, as you probably suspected I meant underrated.

You HAVE to take the sure points.  If it was a tie game, then I'd be OK with the call (because if the field goal is blocked or missed, then you still have overtime), but they were DOWN by 1 point at the time!  Anytime you are behind on the scoreboard, you HAVE to take the sure points -- especially in the 4th quarter.  Thankfully, for their sake, they won with the field goal, but I wouldn't have done it.

YES the field goal could have been blocked. OKAY i get that something could've went wrong, but look at the chances here. I think it doesn't really matter as long as they end up winning. I mean give the guy some credit, he showed that he wasn't selfish enough to put himself in front before the team.

He SHOULD have taken the SURE points!  Selfish or not- the Jags were losing! NO credit is deserved or should it be given to a BONEHEAD play!

I like how people criticize mJd for taking a knee, but I've yet to hear anyone criticize the Jets for simply allowing him to walk it into the EndZone if he so chose.

So, if we're talking about "Bonehead" moves, and what to do if your team is winning or losing, by 1 point, what's more bonehead:  Allowing a team to get 7 points, or realizing you're being suckered into scoring and losing possession of the ball and opting to keep the ball and burn the clock?

I back mJd on this everytime!
