Have you gotten so desperate.......??????

Have you been so desperate that you have turned to a online dating site? Has the World gone mad??? What are your thoughts ? Is it really safe?? let me hear what you have to say about this....

I'm not a believer in soul-mates, or anything like that, but I do know that if I meet someone I'm interested in, it won't matter where - online, at Subway, on a train, wrong number, whatever.

That being said, I've met people and dated one girl who I met on semi social networking sites. Never had an issue doing so and I also don't think they're is an issue with meeting someone who your initial contact was from a online date site. To each their own.

I tried Telepersonals and even a more old-fashioned dating service where you went to their office and flipped through books full of photos and "profiles." And then I got into the Web. I'm not sure why I had such little confidence in myself; I just had endured a couple of really twisted relationships. As far as dating sites, the only one I tried seriously was Yahoo Personals. A few dates came of it, but nothing serious. Then the social networking sites really started taking off, and to me, they seem a much better way of meeting people-- especially since they're almost always FREE-- than paying for eHarmony or whatever. I met my wife through a social blogging site. Seven years later, it seems to have been a wise decision! 42

There is nothing desperate about it to me. It's like the new way people meet. Otherwise people don't just take the time to get to know anyone, anymore. Id probably hook up with a transvestite or my 88 year old neighbor. But it is hard to meet people if you dont go out. And friends dont help matters either!
