This may come as a big shocker to some....but I agree with this post.........................JUST the last half of the first part. She is not the moron some make her out to be.

Would I ever vote for her? NO FREAK'N WAY!

As for whether this picture was in poor taste.....YES. I always thought Newsweek was better than that.

I still don't see the sexism, but it was very unprofessional on Newsweek's part.  If you're going to write a political article about her, show her as she is in the political arena.

Agreed, to an extent.  She's not a complete moron ... but she's nowhere near as intelligent as some would like us to believe!  She's mainly just a liar and uninformed/misinformed, but I'm sure she'll have plenty of time to work on that before her next bid for public office.

President Obama did a lot more than just that.  A bipartisan thing to do would be to research what BOTH of them did before assuming anything.

I can't speak for everyone, but I know I have personally researched Sarah Palin's background and her views on issues before commenting on how unqualified she is, and how much I despise her and all she stands for.

It's interesting that most people with a negative image of Palin don't think it was disrespectful, and those with a positive image of her think it was disrespectful.

A slight few with a negative image of Palin, still think it was disrespectful, so that should be telling.

Regardless of what's discussed above, I just have to agree with one line in the article itself.

No, no, no, Jason.

Grown-woman hot. It's adult but not to the extreme like you just put. Mature, but not too mature; MILF, but not the mom that's trying. It's what Sarah Palin is, and very few others are.

Newsweek has  lost my respect.  You would think their reputation meant more to them than posting that picture.   Could you imagine them doing that to Hillary.   Sarah is a beautiful woman for her age and  i have been listening to some of her interviews this week and she has matured  tremenously in the last year.  She sees herself more of an   independant than a republican.  She will be more than ready to be president in 2012.

She ran a town of about 10,000 people and bankrupt the town before she was done. The town had a surplace of funds before she took over, and she also couldn't even finish one term as governer. Not to impressive for any V.P. candidates resume. She would be the last person in the world I would vote for. However that is just my opinion.

But it's a little different when you have a politician that is building her entire career and political life on the basis that everyone ELSE lied about her (McCain lied about me, the campaign lied, Democrats lied about me, Levi is lying about me, reporters lied, blah blah F'in blah).
Right ... everyone in the country is lying about you but you're a damned beacon of truth.

I'll roll my eye, if it helps; the frightening thing is what didn't come out about her.  The literal witch hunting she's helped bankroll that has lead to assaults and at least 1 death in Kenya due at least in part  to her associate “Bishop” Thomas Muthee's anti-witchcraft campaigns.

I agree it's a bit much, but I don't think she's "building" her career off of it.  She obviously had some sort of reputation before she was chosen as McCain's VP, and that was definately negatively impacted by both Republicans and Democrats alike .............. not to say she didn't deserve ANY of it, but it certainly was excessive.

Obama could be considered as doing the same thing, since he did build his entire Presidential image around an ideological person who would do and not do certain things, and has since gone against his own word.

It sucks having to listen to it though ......... which is why I watch her in mute!  (Kidding ... I don't watch the news ... they're immune to truth)

You say she had some sort of reputation and that's why they chose her.  I say they chose her because she was a younger female to add to the ticket ... the only way to broaden McCain's appeal to several demographics that his campaign was trailing immensely in.

After only 10 months in office, it's kind of hard to say that the president hasn't delivered on his campaign promises.  Washington is a slow-moving vehicle, so I don't think it's fair to say he's gone against his word or that he hasn't delivered at this point.  What say we re-assess in about 3 years?

And I'm going to refrain from making a snarky comment about how the news media AND Sarah Palin are both immune to the truth (oopsie) ... but only for YOU, CKBB-McWiggle!
