In attempt to broaden FanIQ's (and my) music appreciation, I'm going to create a series of polls about various bands, some famous, some not so, and some you may have never heard of.
Your job is to let the other members of the Q know what songs that absolutely must have plus the songs they may not have heard before.
If someone already mentioned a song you were going to say, say it again or give it some respect. The recommendations a song gets the more people know which songs are really worth checking out.
And if you hate the band of have no clue who they are, I'll have an option for you too.

Black Sabbath was already done by the time they were around though, at least the Ozzy era.

Other Similar Artists: Queensryche, Megadeth, Motorhead, early Pantera.

I remember I had to memorize a poem in English class.  And I remembered the song: Rime of the Ancient Mariner; from the Powerslave CD (Remember the English poet - Samuel Taylor Coleridge?).  Well, I remembered that portion of the song, and the teacher loved it.  So did everybody else in class.  I got an A for it, and to this day I still remember it whenever I hear the song.   "One after one by the star dogged moon / Too quick for groan or sigh / Each turned his face with a ghastly pang / And cursed me with his eye"  - Rime of the Ancient Mariner - IRON MAIDEN   [ AWESOME!!!]

I totally agree!  Love, love, love Maiden!  They were just as good when I saw them in 2000 as they were during 1985's Powerslave tour!

Sanctuary, Flight of Icarus, Wasted Years, etc., etc., etc.

I could go on & on!

Thanks for this good introduction, honestly, I have not had the opportunity to hear any of the songs by this band, this part of the world has loved Boney M, ABBA, MJ and Janet Jackson, Eagles, Shadows etc, but well it is good beginning to learn about the trends of good music. Please post the album songs in your collections, would you. Love and regards, rajen. We also have good indian Bands, many of them well recognized.

That is so awesome!  They are amazing in concert!   And what I love about them is when they go on a World Tour, it is truly a WORLD TOUR!  They perform in countries that most other bands simply do not and will not.

That's a good song, only cuz I remembered the lyrics(or the poem) for class.  I know there are other great songs by them, and to me; one of the best songs they have; probably in the top 5,..... THE TROOPER!  [Right now your hearing the intro in your head, huh].  Do you agree?
