If you go by their record then yeah its the Cowboys. But I wonder how that would have been different if Owen Daniels had stayed healthy. The Cowboys have won games but they still haven't looked great. I really love Cushing and Ryans on Houston.

No, the Cowboys are still the better team as of right now. Maybe next season that will change, the NFL is unpredictable at times.

You can't justifiably say "Always will be" without it being clouded by personal opinion.   That answer stems from sentimentality more than objective reasoning.   There is no absolute answer answer for this question, anyway, because things change from season to season and from game to game.   Remember, it wasn't that long ago, about 10 years or so if my memory serves, when the Cowboys went 1-15.    I know Houston went 2-14 one year.  Every team goes through this.  The Cowboys will go 1-15 again, I hope it's in my lifetime, too.   Sorry, Mary, you know I'm only joking, right?   Houston wil have bad seasons.

The only accurate way to answer this question is to do a comparison of each team in the 7 seasons that Houston has been in existence.    Sure, the Cowboys have won Super Bowls, but none in the last 7 years, so to bring that up is living in the past.

Let's live in the now, where as far as Ws and Ls go, there's only one, and at the most two (right now, and depending on tonight's result) games in the W column that seperate these two teams.   BY the way, their records in play against each other are identical at 1-1, if I'm not mistaken.   No disrespect, just an honest opinion.

Only joking huh?  Well Lion, everyone is entitled to their own opinion..yours just happens to be wrong...LOL  just joking. Had to poke fun at you.. But I agree with you, live in the "now" The cowboys will probably have a very bad season at one point in time.. I remember the 1-15 That being said, if my memory serves me right was Troy's first year?  But I do believe the Cowboys are better, they have not shown it lately.. But we all know  their potential  if they would applied themselves.. Which goes for all teams actually.  We will just have to take it one year at a time... Right?

When the Texans can actually WIN more than 8 games in a season- then we can actually talk! Until then, the Texans are NOTHING MORE than an expansion team and NEVER will be anything more!  Nice try though with another seemingly meaningless poll!

the Texans have not had a winning season in thier existance.  this year may be the first... if it is then i will be rooting for them in the AFC playoffs (having been born in texas, I root for all the texas teams in the post season)... but for the amount of time that the Texans have been in the league, the Cowboys have been the superior team. Funny afterthought... the name "Texans" was actually the Dallas Cowboys Original name.... LOL

Hands down the Cowboys talent wise ,franchise history included this comparison isnt even fare to the Texans who in time may well prove to be a consitant winner in the NFL. I know there are many Cowboy bashers on the Q and they may disagree with me when I say the Cowboys are ONE OF the most storied franchises in all of professional sports. To compare the Texans against the Cowboys is like comparing the lowly Washington Nationals to the New York Yankees.

The Texans have nothing original. They took the colors of the Texas flag, morphed the Tx Longhorn into their logo, heck even their 1st ticket campaign was ripped off from the dairy board "Got tickets?"...

Hmmmmmm the Cowboys are currently 8-3 and the Texans are 5-5 !  Enough said......  That is the difference between a WINNING TEAM and a MEDIOCRE TEAM- IMHO!   BTW, just to break it down a wee bit; since 2002 (the Texans 1st NFL season), the Texans overall record has been 45-77 while the Cowboys record during that same period has been 69-54!  Also, the Texans have NEVER had a winning season in their existance (sorry but 8-8 is NOT a winning record), yet the Cowboys have had 6 Winning seasons (if you count this season of course) during that same time span!

right in correction to someone else saying that the Texans was the Dallas Cowboys original name. based on the poll i'd assume you'd know i wasn't talking about the Wyoming Cowboys or some other random team. I figured if my 8 yr old could figure it out you could. Clint Murchison started the Dallas Cowboys in the expansion  of 59' 60'. He got the vote by black mailing the owner of the redskins who had lost the rights to "Hail to the Redskins" (thats the Washington Redskins fight song)  in his divorce. which Murchison then bought from his ex wife. and agreed to return the rights if the Dallas Cowboys were the next expansion team. The two teams,  the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Texans, never played but had they, one could speculate that the Dallas Cowboys probably would have lost under starting quarter back Eddie "the snake" Lebaron. with a shaky team at best, like most expansion teams.

Next time i write something on here I'll remember people like you need, in depth clarification. cause they don't read the post that your responding too. thank you very much for restating what I had already said.

I NEVER said Romo was awesome but comparing a guy who has ONLY started in the NFL for 3 years to a guy who has been starting since Christ was a Corporal- is STUPID!  Funny you keep bringing up the last years game like it means something! The last time I checked, the Cowboys BEAT the Eagles in Philly THIS YEAR!  WTF does last season have to do with anything?  Do you really wanna go back to the PAST with a Cowboys fan- or would you rather just stay on the subject of THIS year?  LOL- You LOSE BOTH arguments anyway!  LMAO!

It has to do with Romo sucking in December.  They haven't played in December this year.  The Boys won the first game last year too, and we all saw how that turned out when it counted.  You sound awfully sure of yourself this year, for a guy who has a QB that sucks in December.

Still laughin Cowboys fans??  More like crying your little eyes out looking forward to yet another late season collapse (5-10 and counting)  Still feelin good about your shot after another pathetic showing from your loser QB AT HOME in December!?! If that's all Romo has playing on his home turf (and it is) then I look forward to another BLOWOUT win in Dallas!  Not that it will matter for the Eagles- Actually you should be rooting for Dallas to lose out.  Maybe then Jerry will fire their loser coach and find someone who knows how to win.

The Eagles missed their chance-now that's funny.  Tell that to DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and LeSean McCoy (All under 24 yrs old- Jackson is the oldest & he just turned 23 on December 1).  OH YEAH AND HOW BOUT MY EAGLES BEATING THE GMEN 45-38 IN THE MEADOWLANDS TO TAKE 1ST PLACE OUTRIGHT IN THE NFC EAST!!?!  You couldn't even beat them in Dallas! You expect to beat the Eagles and probably without DeMarcus Ware?? You're just full of jokes aren't you??

They sure know how to win in December- Jerry should go after Norv Turner when they fire Wade at the end of this season.  You know absolutely nothing about football if you think Romo's performance was anything but pathetic.  He managed coming out of the game with pretty good stats, but when it mattered most, he folded-just like he always does.  He went an entire half without completing a single pass and that lost them the game!!   FYI- The Eagles have won 4 games in a row to steal the NFC East away from the Cowboys- not 1 game.  You have no argument now, but I know you'll probably still be arguing away when the Cowboys are sitting on the couch watching the playoffs on TV.

WTF are you talking about? When did Romo go an entire half with completing a pass?  And when it mattered the most- he marched them down the field and scored a TD. They just ran out of time against a GREAT TEAM that has beaten EVERY TEAM in the NFC EAST!  Are you really that blind and ignorant? Seriously?  Romo didn't fold at all- and anybody who actuallty watched the game would know that FACT!     San Diego 20  Dallas 17     San Diego 21 New York 20  San Diego 31  Philly 23        Maybe you missed that FACT that the Chargers are a GREAT team and they beat every team in the NFC East- yet they scored the LEAST amount against Dallas- hmmmm      Don't get too comfortable in that 1st place seat too long.

Oh yeah I am getting comfortable-

Next week Eagles vs. 49'ers at the LincCowboys @ Saints.  Think you're gonna make up any ground next week? Nope Eagles will take a two game lead.

Week 16: Eagles vs. Broncos at the Linc. Cowboys @ Washington Eagles win. Cowboys might win in a close one, but at best you are still two games out with only one game left-

Week 17: Eagles @ Cowboys- Eagles kill them by 38 again knocking them out of the Wild Card Race- Following another embarrassing loss, Jerry Jones comes out of his owners box, cuts off Wade Phillips head and sticks it on a pike at mid field.  The crowd loves it.  Romo starts sucking his thumb and then curls up in the fetal position sobbing uncontrollably "December is your friend Tony, December is your friend Tony".

Oh yeah- I'm very comfortable

Wow, thats alot of IF's you've got going there! LOL        NOTHING is a "given" in the NFL at all- and these games are no different! The Eagles could MOST DEFINATELY lay an egg against the 49ers and Broncos and the Cowboys COULD beat the Saints and Redskins- then where is that HUGE one game lead at?   Like I said, don't count your chickens quite yet!  And where are you getting this HUGE blowout from? Yes, the Cowboys have lost 5 games- but NOBODY has beaten them by more than 7 points either, and the Eagles LOST to them at the Linc.......You talk as if the Eagles are some GREAT team that nobody can beat- lol!  They have won EXACTLY 1 more game than the Cowboys- thats it! And one of their losses was to the Cowboys!  So if the Cowboys SUCK- like you say- what does that say about the Eagles who couldn't beat the Cowboys on their OWN HOME TURF!????

If you want to fool yourself into thinking the Cowboys have any chance  to beat Drew Brees and the Saints in New Orleans without DeMarcus Ware, then I realize now that you are truly insane.  I guess anything can happen, but are you really picking the Boys to win that one?  And as far as the 49ers at the Linc??  You're kidding me right?  My god man- you are really showing your true colors BLIND AND REDICULOUS- That's why you Cowboys fans are so fun to argue with.  You have no chance and no arguement, yet you still think you're #1 because you root for that little blue star.  Love it.

Why wouldn't I pick the 49ers in an upset!   They are a much better team than the Raiders- whom BTW beat the Eagles!  As far as the Saints, they beat the Eagles by 26 points,  but in the last two weeks have beaten the Redskins by 3 points (in OT after the Skins MISSED a 23 yard FG), and the Falcons by 2 points!  They are not invinceable at all- though I really don't think my Boys can win that game- anything is possible! And BTW-  D Ware has a sprained neck- he has not be ruled out yet- but wishful thinking on your part!   And why shouldn't Cowboys fans LOVE their team? And why shouldn't they feel that the Cowboys have a chance in EVERY GAME that they play!  Because unlike the Eagles Organization, the Cowboys have a history of WINNING- period!

The 49ers are not a much better team than the Raiders. The Saints beat the Eagles without Donovan McNabb.  Both Skins and Falcons were tough road victories for the Saints.  You'll see how tough the Skins are on the road two weeks from now.  And D Ware will not play this Sunday, but wishful thinking on your part.

Go another decade without a playoff victory and then tell me about your history of winning.  Long gone are the days of Staubach, Aikman, and Emmitt Smith.  The reality is, the Cowboys are now a mediocre NFL Program, with a mediocre QB, and a below average coach- Keep hanging onto that admittedly stellar history because right now- there is no intimidation factor when it comes to the Cowboys.  FYI-  There are only 3 coaches with over 100 wins in this decade- Dungy, Belichick, and yes one Andy Reid.

FYI-  There are only 3 coaches with over 100 wins in this decade- Dungy, Belichick, and yes one Andy Reid.
lol did you see those niners who suck so bad on Monday? maybe you should watch some film cause if they play like that they could easily beat the eagles...... can't wait to see what happens... and at least we have a history to hold on to Eagles gone are the days of oh it don't matter everyone they have looses!!!

You Cowboys fans are all so blind, desparate, and pathetic.  I look forward to rubbing your noses in it when you are once again watching the playoffs on the couch along with all the Dallas Cowboys players.  Shabaazx I don't even know what you are talking about anymore.  Oh and good job Roy Williams-guaranteeing a victory this Saturday- That always works out well.

oooh, let me try.  I heard today that McNabb said that they will never lose again while he is QB, EVER.  He garantees a Super Bowl victory against whoever they throw out there from the AFC.  He said that every offensive player on the Philly team will be first ballot HOFers, and the Cowboys will lose every game for the rest of their franchise's history.
Its fun to make sh!t up. lol

Ummm that would have been reported on pretty much every sports news outlet in America- I guess you've had your head buried in the sand for so long you only see what you want to- Here's a link.

What's even more hilarious is he said that all the Cowboys have to do is pack their bags and show up to be victorious!  Amazing- they have "just been showing up" for the last two weeks! That hasn't worked so far Roy- What makes you think it will work against the undefeated Saints on their home field?

FYI- I was not making up the FACT that Romo went almost an entire half without completing a pass-

3:07 left in 1st Quarter: Romo completed 14 yd. pass to Roy Williams

NEXT COMPLETION:

5:31 left in 3rd Quarter: Romo completed 9 yd. pass to Jason Whitten

28 minutes and 19 seconds with 0 completions- I guess I did exaggerate by 1 minute and 41 seconds, but hey pretty close.

Here's a link to the game log if you think I'm just making stuff up again.

Funny, it seems everything that I say negative about the Cowboys, you say I am just making up.   Too bad it's all backed up by facts- At least us Eagles fans pay attention to what the hell is going on.  But I don't blame you.  After your Cowboys miss the playoffs again, you'll probably say that I made up the entire thing, and they actually won the Super Bowl!

Whats even funnier is that you Eagles Fans run your arrogant lips ALL THE TIME-  Yet the Eagles have NEVER WON anything! If that isn't the epitome of hypocrisy- I don't know what is!  Hence why you fans ARE so HATED by ALL NFL fans!  You guys want to brag about playoff wins, and Division wins, blah, blah, blah..... Yet can't claim any VICTORY of any significance- LOL!  Good luck with those 49ERS without Westbrook AND Macklin!
Dallas Cowboys

That's alright.  They haven't had trouble scoring points.  Brian Westbrook has only played in 2 games this year, and they have still managed to score 372 points (4th in the NFL).   And averaging 28.6 points per game.  Maclin has made some plays, but I don't feel like Kevin Curtis is going to hurt them being out there instead of Maclin, not to mention they have more quality wide out than anyone in the NFL.  They also managed to hang 45 points on the Giants who are still a top 10 defense despite the fact that neither one of them played in that game (Maclin went out in 1st Qtr).

Eagles fans are hated more than any in the NFL? You really know how to hit where it hurts! lol..It seems like only the pathetic Cowboys fans who are in denial mode hate us Eagles fans for telling the truth about their sorry team, but whatever- This is football not a popularity contest.  Jerry and Hollywood Romo win that one hands down.  Congratulations- I hope that gets you closer to a playoff win.  Your team's play in December sure isn't getting them anywhere.

LOL!  Whatever Man!  I ask you again; :What have the Eagles EVER Won"?  That's right- NOTHING!  As a Cowboys fan since 1972, I'm used to fans of other teams "hating" on the Cowboys- everybody HATES a winner! LMAO  But what is the excuse for you Eagles fans? The Eagles have NEVER won anything- EVER!  Could it be that the Eagles are HATED because of their ARROGANT FANS? Fans who throw "battery filled" snowballs at Santa Clause? Fans who CHEER when a player breaks his neck in a game??? Fans who assault a little 9 year old girls for wearing a jersey of the Giants( Yes, I saw that one first hand at the Vet) ??? Fans of a team who actually have their own "jail cells" in the Stadium? Fans of a team who celebrated when Eagles players wrote down jerseys numbers of opposing players and intentionally tried to hurt and end those players careers (Bounty Bowl)!! Eagles fans are the absolute WORSE fans in the Country- hands down.... That is the REASON why your team is so hated- it's NOT because you win at all- because the Eagles have NEVER WON!   You can call the Cowboys " a sorry team" all you want- it really doesn't matter- because until the Eagles actually win something in my lifetime ( the ONLY team in the NFC East to NEVER win the Super Bowl)- it's nothing but ignorant jealously for a team with a WINNING HISTORY- and nothing more....

You keep using the word arrogance- Arrogance is the blind and continuous superiority complex you and most Cowboy fans have despite sucking for over a decade. Saying the Eagles haven't won anything is not an insult- it just proves how arrogant you truly sad you really are.  The Cowboys have truly won NOTHING-NOT ONE SINGLE PLAYOFF VICTORY IN OVER 12 YEARS, and yet you keep talking away about your winning history- Look dude the last time the Cowboys were any good I was barely in high school.  You've only had one really good season in all those years!  So give it a rest.  True Dallas has won a lot of Super Bowls, but there is a limit to how long you can milk that team's success (And twelve years is pushing it big time).

Do something in this century pops- then you can give me the business about how great they are.  But until then you need to cope with the fact that they are not a good team, and they are even more horrendous in December.  I'm sorry that you can't seem to accept that the Eagles have dominated them and the NFC East for so many years (obviously making the Division Championship unimportant to you).  And the Eagles have had much more success in the post season (obviously making playoff wins unimportant) I know it's frustrating watching your team crumble every year coming down the stretch, but you'll be okay.  They might be able to get back to the top someday. I hear T.O. might be available next year : )

How about this Vin- Another thing you accused me of making up- No response to this one eh?? And as far as Roy Williams- If he didn't guarantee a victory, why did he spend the last 4 days telling everyone he didn't really guarantee a victory.  Sounds like someone in the locker room told him he better shut the hell up until they win a game in December- What good advice.

Well, lets see, the Cowboys RAN the ball up and down the field during that time- in fact at one time I believe it was a ratio like 28 running plays to 4 passing plays... But, I suppose Romo "sucked" because he did what the Offensive Coordinator told him to do- right? Dude, you made so many mountains out of molehills..... LOL    The Chargers beat the Cowboys 20-17 and Romo had 249 yards passing, 2TD's, and 0 Int's... You act like the Chargers destroyed the Cowboys and Romo stunk up the joint- which are falsehoods!  The Chargers BEAT every team in the NFC East including your precious Eagles- yet the Cowboys gave up the least amount of points to them. You tell me to quit "living in the past"- yet all you can bring up is a 44-6 victory LAST YEAR that the Eagles had over the Cowboys... But you FAIL to respond to what actually happened THIS YEAR in PHILLY  Dallas 20  Philly  16- maybe YOU should quit living in the past and wake up to the present!  At this point in the season- Eagles fans have NOTHING to brag about except a slim 1 game lead in the Division- nothing MORE! The Eagles aren't an NFC Powerhouse this season and neither are the Cowboys.....I could see if you were talking s^&t and you were a fan of the Vikings or Saints, but your a fan of a team that LOST to the Cowboys on your OWN FIELD this season- LMMFAO!!!!!!!! The Saints BEAT (excuse me)- DESTROYED the Eagles this season by 26 points  (and boo hoo, McNabb didn't play, I'm SURE you will use that as an excuse))  - but I highly DOUBT that they will DESTROY the Cowboys like that- LOL

Kevin Kolb in the very first NFL start of his career- Yeah no reason to use that as an excuse.  Gimmie a break- When your Cowboys beat the Eagles and put them out of the playoffs, then talk to me.  But I can see by the way you are so bent out of shape that the embarrassing loss to the Eagles to send the Cowboys packing was much more influential than a meaningless November victory for the Cowboys this year.  Ask Wade Phillips how important that victory was in November, as they face yet another late-season collapse.  Do you think his coaching career is in more jeopardy or less than it was back when they beat the Eagles?  I am living in the present- and presently your team can't win a game and they just surrendered the lead in the NFC East with 3 games left in the season!!  Keep living in the past buddy- We won 5 Super Bowls! We beat the Eagles- All of it means nothing right now when they are about to miss the playoffs again.  All of it magnified 1 billion times after Jerry Jones opened his new stadium.  You think Jerry would trade that November win against the Eagles for a spot in the playoffs- you bet he would.  Just keep living the dream Vinndawg- Maybe someday you might have some firepower to back up your unrealistic BS.
