I have a Holiday Song list saved.  It has all of my favorite songs about Christmas or songs that bring back Christmas memories.

I saw Mama kissing Santa Clause- John Mellancamp
Same old lang syne- Dan Fogelberg
So This is Christmas- John Lennon

Those are just some I can remember.

Agreed, very powerful/moving song, captures the spirit and meaning of Christmas in a profound and unique way. I'm glad you like it too.

 WILL NEVER FORGET THE YEAR THAT MY 3 KIDS AND THEIR 3 COUSINS DID A PLAY FOR THE FAMILY GRANDMA GOT RAN OVER BY A REINDEER   KIDS RANGED IN AGE FROM 2 TOO 10   WHAT A TREASURE TOO HAVE ON A HOME VIDEO.   WE LAUGHED TILL WE CRIED

I have 3 that are on that list that are special to me at different points of the season.

I love the quiet reflection of The Christmas Song and it really creates the spirit of family and togetherness for me.

I always know the season is upon us when I hear Santa Claus is Coming to Town - Bruce and the E Street Band style

But I rarely can keep full composure when I hear Silent Night at a late night Christmas Eve service.

 

I have several others I find very meaningful too, So This Is Christmas - Lennon  and  Do They Know It's Christmas, come to mind.

Thanks Scott, I'll have to try and check out that Michael W. song.

 my all time XMAS favorite, and i could listen to it ALL DAY, and i usually do, is HOLLY JOLLY XMAS, by BURL IVES, what a great song !!!!!!!!!!

I saw DADDY kissing Santa Claus....it was a parody on WMMR in Philly when I was in school there....but Santa was MOMMY in  disguise...so the kid was relieved!!!

 Actually, I like all Christmas songs...but I think that "Christmas Rapping" by the Waitresses is my favorite non-religious song...and Father Christmas by the Kinks...a few radio stations around here started on NOVEMBER 9 playing ALL CHRISTMAS MUSIC.
